Power Wings.
Point Forwards.

How do they compare stylistically?
Who has the higher ceiling?

Scott in theory has the higher ceiling but I don’t think either is a #1 on a title team, and in a supportive role, Johnson is arguably better.

Johnson.

Barnes has become absurdly overrated after 1 dubious all-star replacement selection. Do you even want Barnes starting on a legit contender? He's such a flawed player. At best he's the 3rd or 4th best starter on a contending team, kind of like A.Gordon.

So far Barnes has mostly put up stats on bad teams. He has completely failed to move the needle.

The consensus is that Scottie is a superior on ball defender to JJ, right?

Here's footage Jalen failing to stop Scottie in space.

Jalen is showing he can do it on a good team. Scottie is putting up numbers but he looks too raw for me. Prime Scottie is probably a jack of all trades, super role player kind of guy. I think Jalen could be a #2 on a title team. He has a better feel for scoring & natural fluidity.

I'm going with Jalen.

I like Johnson's ancillary skills better. He is a better lateral athlete than Barnes and is more agile with better balance. Maybe Barnes with less offensive responsibility could be better, but even at Florida State, I thought his defense was perhaps more suspect than people let on. I like Johnson's athleticism for offense to, due to additional quickness. Johnson also is arguably a better off-ball passer.

Both are good. I think Scottie's a little better a playmaker, and Jalen is showing a shade more consistency to his 3pt shot. JJ's a little quicker, which will serve him better as he tightens up his handle and gets his scoring game going.

I think they're on a fairly similar plane at the moment.

I like Johnson a lot more due to his ability to play a secondary/ancillary role to ball dominant players effectively. He also looks more comfortable/natural with the ball to me, it feels like Johnson's shooting consistency will continue to improve over the next few seasons as well as his ball handling and decision making as well.

I like Scottie a lot more but the team's terrible right now, I think that has reduced Barnes's fandom a lot. Barnes is better overall, an all star type, probably top 20-30 in the league. He looks like a super #2 type. 14th in blocks and 15th in O-Rebs last year. I actually really like his game.

Jalen's athletic and his numbers look pretty good this year, but I wouldn't go as far as picking him over Scottie.

Neither one is like Randle... Randle's a different guy, but a ton of fans believe Randle's terrible and overrated.

What #2 in the past decade has looked like Barnes.
