- 28th on the Assists list
- 39th on the Steals list
- 24th on the 3PM list
- 87th in Win Shares
- 64th in VORP
- 70th in Minutes

Only 1 All-Defensive and All-Star nod, smh.

... but Mitch Richmond!

So just in general, I remain unconvinced that any basketball HOF voters really care about cumulative NBA stats. Baseball HOF voters care mostly about this stuff, but in basketball traditionally the focus is on per game stats, and of course, accolades implying stardom.

My guess is that Conley is never in the Hall, but of course I'd have said the same for Richmond so who knows.

One thing I'll say about Richmond is that I think that Run TMC nickname ended up being a major factor for him which is...ridiculous. I'm sure no voter would say that the nickname factored in, but just the association as if he were the equal to Mullin & Hardaway I think helped "tier" Richmond above what he should be.

It's possible Conley will get a similar benefit based on the grit & grind Grizzlies, but hopefully not.

Maybe if the Wolves win the next two titles.

Do you think Eddie Jones will receive any Hall of Fame recognition?

- 3x All Star
- 3x All Defense
- 1x All NBA

56th All-Time in Career VORP
98th All-Time in Career Win Shares

A much more accomplished player in terms of accolades than Conley and yet Jones receives zero consideration for the Basketball Hall of Fame, what makes you think Conley would receive any consideration?

Seems like a very strange question to ask for a player who is already 37 years old. How many players in NBA history made it to the Hof based on what they did from age 37 onwards(obviously on top of what they did before that)? I can't think of anyone.

Conley simply doesn't have the accolades necessary to make the Hall of Fame.

You can look at some of his impact metrics (WS or VORP for example) and make an argument for him. There are certainly players well below him on both lists who have made it. But almost without exception, they have more accolades. Or they had a much higher peak.

Mitch Richmond - who sits well below Conley for WS / VORP - made 6 All-Star teams and 5 all-NBA teams. By comparison, Conley made a single All-Star appearance.

And I don't think there is anything that he can do at 37 onwards that would change that. A championship or two as a

I think Conley should have more accolades (I have him narrowly as the best player from the Grit n Grind team broadly), but don't really see him having a hall case without the awards, unfortunately.

Like others were saying of course he has no shot considering all his accomplishments are 1x all star and 1x all def. Probably its true that his impact is superior to that and hes better than some players with more accolades but still he doesnt deserve the HoF. I don't consider at all the sportmanship thing.

A better question would be how many more years of prime mike conley level of impact, and my answer would be around 20. If he has 20 years of prime conley + a couple seasons at the start and end of his career, he probably deserves it, 20 years of borderline all star level impact should be eough cause he also has more chances to rack up other accomplishments.

Current conley (8.2/4.6 on 37% shooting) as far as deserving it probably impossible to deserve it as he's not a + player, but we can say that with other 20 years in a way he does in virtue of his career totals and the craziness of it, also even tho he's not a + nba player maybe it's an hof accomplishment being good enough that you'are averagine 8/4 at 57. Which has made me think, considering that we have never had any real nba player over 43 and i guess the oldest to avergae 8+ is kareem at 42, maybe this accomplishment could be so outstanding that it gets him in the HoF way before that. 45 not at all. 49-50 yes but no cause in other sports that have been athletes not that far from this +it would be like 30 seasons and lebron would a bit diminish this if he plays like 24 seasons at a high level. so i guess 52-53 is my answer so idk 15 other seasons. if we have a 52 years old averaging 8/4 in the nba i think it would be crazy enough that he would be in the HoF especially a good player like mike conley

I think if they won even ONE with him being a major-minute player would potentially give him enough of a nudge.

Prob 13. If he can play at 50, he’ll make it just because he was playing at 50.
