Should ANT have got 1st All NBA team over Mitchell?

I think a majority agree that Ant is a better player than Donavan.

So that makes me ask this

Ant should have got it.

There's a decent argument, though Mitchell was pretty good this season. Big part of Mitchell getting the nod is the media needing a first-teamer to explain the Cavs leading the lead in PPG and being No. 1 in ORTG.

I do not agree that Anthony Edwards is better than Donovan Mitchell. Certainly, RAPM doesn’t agree with that. And box stats were pretty even this year, but Donovan’s box stats are better if we go back even a year or two. They’re both playoff risers, but that’s irrelevant to an assessment of how good they are for purposes of 1st team all NBA. And Donovan MItchell’s team was far more successful this year. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Honestly, ANT is lucky to have been all-NBA second team IMO.

Edwards is better than Mitchell, and I think he was better this year.

That being said, I actually think Mobley should have gotten votes over Mitcehll and Ant, based on RS play. Mitchell received the votes due to being seen as the leader and the mantle of the Cavs surprise season.

Cavs went 9-2 w/o Mitchell this season and only lost to the Pacers. 1 loss by just 2. Randle being injured messed the Wolves record up they had a crazy good record since he got back and Ant prolly makes 1st team but as 6 seed which was almost in play in they factored that. Big difference is defense Ant is a strong defensive guard Mitchell is bad like its not said enough how often his matchup goes off for absurd numbers in playoffs against him which makes his own gaudy box score stats in playoff series misleading for impact he had

It's regular season based. I think Mitchell had a more impressive regular season especially given Cavs' record

I don't think Mitchell should have been first team but there is zero argument for Edwards being above Mitchell in All-NBA voting. Statistically they're equivalent or Mitchell was better, and he had a better team record (which apparently is the most important thing for All-NBA voting).

If the Wolves got eliminated in the first or second round zero people would be asking this.

I think Mitchell being 1st was deserved. I'd put them in that order too.

What's the argument for Ant specifically during the RS this season?
