There have been a lot of comparisons lately for Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthonys games.

I never thought Paul Pierce was as good as Carmelo but comparing their game styles and move sets is inetereting

Paul Piece is better outright. But I guess Melo's "bag" is more dynamic.

Shame he got hall-of-fame entry before Gasol did
its my last message in this thread, but I just admit, that all the people, casual and analytical minds, more or less have consencus who has the weight of a rubberized duck. And its not JaivLLLL

Pierce was a better shooter. They both had post game. I think Pierce was better off the bounce. Melo was larger and more athletic, much better first step. Both had good hesi and pull-up game.

Very similar array of moves. Main difference was yeah, size and first step. And honestly, Melo only has 2 more seasons of 25+ ppg than Pierce does anyway; the broader gap between them as scorers really isn't as large as a lot of people want to believe. This is especially true when you realize how much slower the league was in Pierce's prime.
