Wiggins+Rozier works basically

But that team isnt very talented and there would need to be multiple follow up moves

Lakers are more talented

Only perk of Miami is a very weak east, but that team gets smoked by OKC or Den

I rather take Luka in the bloodbath west

If he was interested, the deal would happen today, Heat have Rozier to complete the salary.

Wy would the Lakers entertain this? Wiggins is no one's idea of a long term piece and even an expiring LeBron is an all NBA forward for next season. They'd at least need someone like Ware coming back in any deal to even make it palatable.

It's LeBron's decision, if he demands to go to the Heat, I don't think Lakers can tell him no.
Yes, Wiggins/Rozier/some sort of asset, but nothing too fancy...

I don't think they can sell that to the fans unless Ware is headlining the return. Rozier is likely getting banned from the league and likely negotiating a deal to avoid prison on federal gambling charges, so that part is even worse. Lakers would much rather ask LeBron to negotiate a buyout.

Technically, last year you were 12th on O and 15th on D. +1.4 on 0, +0.2 on D. But you were also only 18th on the defensive boards, and Ayton will at least help with that, for sure, while theoretically providing a more consequential boost on offense if used properly.

I really don't know what to make of their ratings from last season given the major change the team saw midway through the year, not to mention a brand new coaching staff trying to implement a brand new playing style on both ends for the team. This year will be very telling for the team.

It will. My point was more that the O and the D aren't THAT far off from one another. A little better on O than D, but as you say, the trade shuffled things some. Will be interesting to see how they look this year, no doubt.

If the dumbass Kings are seriously contemplating moving Devin Carter and Malik Monk to sign Westbrook, the Lakers need to make a call. However I don't how to make the salaries work without including Rui. I'd be interested even if it involved Rui.

Doesn't Luka get fat and out of shape every off season? This would be the opposite of his recent trend, wouldn't it?
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

Any chance a slimmer Luka is worse on offense?

He uses his weight and frame to bully smaller guys, he may lose that advantage

But obviously he would be more agile, quicker, have more stamina (huge), and should be better on defense

He uses his strength on the hip. Very unlikely to be worse on offense as a perimeter player. Only if he lost strength would it be an issue.

As expected, opt out in a couple years and take the supermax or leave if things collapse (I think he stays and things go well)

I like this roster, but feel like we may be 1-2 moves away from being neck and neck with the top of the top teams

Reaves, Smart, Luka, Lebron, Ayton is a great starting 5

I wish we had a more defensive minded C, but lets see what Ayton brings

Bench has 1 legit playoff rotation guy in Rui as of now

I think Laravia can be, but need to see it (Knecht also has the potential, but I think Laravia outplays him overall and or Knecht is traded)

I dont think Gabe is good enough, feels like that 2023 run was more of a playoff outlier

Vando is a situational guy, he would make a lot more sense with a stretch big

Im pretty sure Kleber is cooked, but feels like we will throw him out there

You guys think were done with moves until the deadline/Dec?

Still womdering whats up with Horford, but thinking hes got an agreement with GS after JK deal

Not sure if all have seen this, but Englemann has been reworking his RPM models into what he now calls xRAPM (RS and PS), and for single year RAPM, LeBron leads in nine different seasons between 2007 and 2021, a 14 year span of years leading in RAPM. To say this ludicrous is an understatement. In the databall era, i.e., 1997-current, there have only been a handful of players who have led a season in RAPM multiple years and the longest span of years between leading in RAPM other than LeBron’s 14 is KG’s 4. LeBron was in 99th percentile percentile in every season between 2007 and 2021 save 2019.

Image

If you look at being in the 99th percentile rather than outright leading, then you get some longer spans such as Dirk’s 10 and KD’s 10. KD is interesting since he appears in the 99th percentile in 2013 and 2014 and then again in 2022 and 2023.
