It depends on how many years of their prime shall fall into the '90-es (as it determines the overall pool), but current Lebron is only a borderline All-NBA level player. It would be the same in any particular year in the '90-es as well imo.

We don't know what his 'current level' is - since the season hasn't started - but last year he was All-NBA and finished 6th in the MVP award. The league today is much better than in the 1990s - which is one of the weaker eras for talent due to rapid expansion - so he'd almost certainly be making All-NBA teams and ranking highly for the MVP throughout the 1990s.

In any one season in the 1990s there'd be a handful of players better than LeBron in 2024-25. Collectively over the course of a decade, you'd be looking at around 10 players probably (Jordan, Shaq, Hakeem, Robinson, Barkley, Malone, Magic, Duncan, Pippen and maybe Hill or Drexler).

Going off of last season...

Top 15ish in the early 90s
Top 7ish in the late 90s

Lebron wasn't top 25 in the league, so about 15-20 90s players

Pretty much everyone who is not an end of the bench scrub. Even an average 90s player would do better than take up $52m of payroll to play on only 1 side of the ball and randomly disappear in the middle of the season without explanation

You aren't describing Lebron, you are describing Canthony Brickworst

Health is the biggest factor but Just echoing the Earlier comments. He’s top 10-15 right now (all NBA level) so. About top 10 in the early 90s

Firmly in the top 10 in the late 90s. I feel the high level talent wasn’t quite as good later in the decade
