Garland or Maxey

Who is better? Both were all stars, same age. Probaly not fair at the moment, since Maxey is red hot, playing like an all nba, while Garland is injured. Garland is a PG, while Maxey is more of a combo guard. I think they are similar shooters from deep (almost same % and volume), while Garland is a way better passer (although Maxey seems improved this year). I think Maxey offensive game is better, since he´s a great driver, and seems to have gain the respect from the refs this years, so he´s shooting a lot of free throws. Dont know how is Garland´s defense, but Maxey improved a lot last year, hes kinda decent nowadays, and even was the second in steals last year( for a couple of months).

I´m a homer, so i wil go with Maxey. His driving game is really good( and he´s got a killer floater), and his passing is improved( but will never be on Garland´s level), seems like he´s really better this year, his gravity is crazy: he´s shooting 48% from 3, with 9 shots per game (it will go down), hiting some crazy stepbacks.

At a point of would have said Garland but now, give me Maxey. Both are low turn-over ball handlers, efficient scorers, and meh defenders with physical limitations. Garland is probably a littler better as a traditional floor general but Tyrese is more dynamic and has shown another gear in his scoring prowess

Maxey is an absolute dog when it comes to improving his game. He set a great example for our young guys over the offseason. The results reflect that as he has improved steadily since entering the league . 3pt shooting was considered a weakness when he was drafted but has since become a strength. He also devoted himself to adding much-needed muscle mass as his small frame was another point of concern coming into the league. Needless to say I'm thrilled to have him in Philly
