Schrempf comes to mind as my FAVORITE roleplayer...

But yeah, Bobby Jones, Coop, Rodman, lots of other guys come to mind. Bobby Jones should probably take this.

Really think we need a definition of roleplayer. If it's a player who averages less than 30 minutes a game, many of the above don't qualify. If it's a player with one (or maybe two) outstanding skill whose remaining game is average or so at best, guys like Bobby Jones and Detlef Schrempf don't qualify. If it is guys who score less than 15 ppg, guys like Dell Curry probably don't. I don't think Jermaine O'Neal qualifies under pretty much any definition.

What is a "roleplayer"?

Everyone on the Pistons. They have no "superstar", so they're all role players technically. And they've won a championship, so...

I feel they shouldn't count if they were on the all-star team more than once and during the time when they helped their "winning" team.

Bird all time, right now, I'd say Kobe Bryant he scores and does what he needs for his team to win, I'd also have to put say Chauncey Billups and basically the whole Detroit starting lineup they are all role players that do what they need especially Chauncey he gets the assists he needs for his team and then he scores what he has to for his team to win and they have the second best record in the NBA so I would have to say Billups at the moment but they could easily be taken over by Bryant.

Odd definitition of Role Player if you are including Kobe . .. . Who isn't a role player then?

If it is "non-superstars," Chauncey is at least a marginal superstar since he has received significant MVP votes at least one year.
