Which Spanish player do you think has more trade value around the league?

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

you know his trade value far exceeded that though. bulls were offering deng, etc. there is no real rhyme or reason that memphis chose that particular offer, short of a complete salary dump and wanting to help a conference rival

You can't determine Gasol's value around the league by what the Lakers gave up for him. That trade was purely a salary dump for Memphis along with some mediocre building pieces. The Lakers were just in the right place at the right time with the right contracts.

Gasol is worth much, much more then that, much, much more. I can't emphasize on the "more" part enough.

I can tell you one thing, if Jose Calderon were to be traded (he won't) he'd go for a lot more then what L.A gave up for Gasol. Which was pretty much expiring deals and two picks.

I'm going to go ahead and say that Pau Gasol is valued slightly more so than Calderon around the league at this time. But the gap has closed significantly with what Calderon has been able to do so far this season.

I highly doubt the bulls were offering deng.
