How would this team do?

Post#1 » by imonfire99 » Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:26 pm

(Assuming you cloned the players)
How far would this team get in the playoffs, and how many games would this team win, in the East and in the West.
TJ Ford/Rajon Rondo/Jai Lucas
Cuttino Mobley/Deshawn Stevenson/Matt Carroll
Gerald Wallace/Hedo Turkoglu/Trevor Ariza
Lamarcus Aldridge/Andrea Bargani/Oleksiy Pecherov
Dwight Howard/Eric Dampier/Tony Battie

They have a decent team. I would probably put them 3rd or 4th in the East. They don't have that go-to guy, which would hurt them.

3rd seed in East easily. It's essentially Dwight and role players... let me introduce you to the Orlando Magic!

That's a playoff team in the West, probably 7th or 8th seed.

They need more reliable shooters though.

definitely much better than the Magic..

Turkoglu is still on the team with Howard..

you add in TJ Ford, who is much better than Nelson or Arroyo..Rondo is arguably better than Nelson as well..they still have the shooting with Mobley and Stevenson..

Gerald Wallace doesn't have Lewis shooting, but he's a much better all-around player..

Alridge is a good player, and his game would compliment Howard's well, since he can make the outside jumper..Bargnani would be very good coming off the bench for a spark..

this team wouldn't be as good as Boston or Detroit, but definitely better than Cleveland or Orlando IMO..

start hedo instead of wallace i think.....eh..whatever it doesnt really matter.

This team would be excellent imo. Dwight with better roleplayers that could fit well around him.

I would start both Hedo and Wallace and let Wallace guard the 2 position.

if you put Dwight Howard on the Raptors instead of Bosh or Bargs, they would be the best team in the East, so if you want to do one of these build a team things, take the Raptor's 3 point shooters and put them next to a dominant post presence.

Orlando should have signed Kapano instead of Lewis, would have saved A LOT of money too.

Would be a good team, probably 3 seed in the east, 4-5 in the west.

Aldridge / Howard down low is sexy

a more realistic depth chart would be

TJ Ford (28)/ Rajon Rondo (20)/ Cuttino Mobley (10)
Gerald Wallace (30)/ Cuttino Mobley (10)/ DeShawn Stevenson or Matt Carroll (8)
Hedo Turkoglu (35)/ Trevor Ariza (13)
Lamarcus Aldridge (30)/ Andrea Bargnani (12) / Tony Battie (6)
Dwight Howard (38)/ Eric Dampier (10)/ Tony Battie (6)

Lucas and Pecherov would hardly get any minutes.

this team would contend for the championship assuming all players are healthy. they have a flashy pass-first point guard in TJ, a very good all around player in G-Wall, a very good offensive weapon in Hedo and a superb frontcourt duo who should compliment each other well. Not to mention they have a very good and deep bench.
