Howard couldn't do a thing against the duo last night. He had one good play all night.

lol. your duo has only 30 wins and dwight has 46 wins. the hawks are barely in at the 8th seed. orlando has clinched a playoff spot and are 3rd in the eastern conference. get back to me when your team is actually good and then we can discuss whether horford/smith are even comparable to howard.

So Tyler Hansborough >>>>>>> Michael Beasley because of win total too right?

Hawks poor win total has a lot to do with being one of the youngest teams in the league with a head coach without a clue to guide them. Not to mention having Tyron Lue as your best PG for half the season.

And notice Im talking about the UPSIDE of the players as if not right now.

But of course, Im arguing with someone who stubbornly thinks that Josh Smith and Al Horford have both peaked

UPSIDE wise dwight has just as much as if not more potential than al horford and josh smith. josh smith and al horford are not even on the same level as howard or remotely close. josh smith isn't a franchise player nor horford def isn't. neither of them are all stars or even close at the moment and josh smith has been in the league just as long as howard. horford may reach all star level but it will not be a regular thing. seriously are you this delusional? if you put a poll up on this howard would win at least 90% of the votes if not more.

explain how he is close. statistically you can say he is but unfortunately josh smith will never win the fans votes and team success is required for the remaining spots and atlanta has none. joe johnson gets all the media credit in atlanta so i really don't see how he is that close.

I am not a big fan of Smith's. The guy has a world of talent and looks great at times, but other times makes you shake your head with his decision making. He can be incredibly sporatic.

The Hawks defended Dwight pretty well last night, but it really had more to do with Howard not getting the ball enough than anything.

I don't care if he makes the game, all that matters is that he deserves it. Joe Johnson has been an All Star the last two seasons so Josh Smith can get in if he continues to improve at the rate he's improving.
