That's 5 years from now. Generally it seems the salary cap has been increasing by around 3.5-4 million a year. By then the cap would be around 75 million if things keep going the way they are. Also that would be one season for him, not 3 seasons. They paid him that because no one else was making much on the team. The question is will they pay Dwight Howard that much?

You understand that even with the salary cap making marginal increases, Lewis' contract pays him $20+ million a year for three straight years, right?

Howard already has an extension at this point, they'll worry about him come 2012/2013, the season for which he has a player's option.

According to HoopsHype, the following players make 19.5+ mil in 07/08 (note: includes buyout payments on guys like Finley and Webber):

Kevin Garnet
Michael Finley
Stephon Marbury
Allen Iverson
Shaquille O'Neal
Jason Kidd
Jermaine O'Neal
Chris Webber

I'd give LeBron 25 mil/season. Kobe too. I probably wouldn't give that much to Dwight or Paul though, they just don't dominate game like Kobe and LeBron do.

Screw 25 or 19.5 mill a year....i can't believe some of the guys who make between 10 and 16 million a season.

Mike Bibby
Ben Wallace
Zach Randolph
Lamar Odom
Kenyon Martin
Stojackovic

It's like every team in the league needs to say they have at least 1 guy getting paid stupid money. There aren't a lot of guys in the NBA I'd say deserve 20+ a year. The list of guys who deserve 25 is LeBron James and Yao Ming(marketing purposes son, he made his owner a billionaire).

The last time I checked, Gilbert Arenas has won more playoff games and advanced farther than Melo, Yao, Howard. He is a superstar when he is healthy. I would pay Kobe, Iverson, Duncan, LeBron and CP3. Iverson has the most heart than any player in the league and plays through injuries.

Last I checked Gilbert Arenas led teams don't make it out of the first round and play just as well without him. Melo and Howard are much younger than Gilbert, and by your stupid rational Horry is more valuable than Arenas.

McGrady, Paul Pierce, and Steve Nash are on that list, but you're complaining about Arenas?

Depends mosly on if I was alolowed to spend a lot of money. If I was the GM hell yes to every one. Why not? If I was the Clippers GM, robably only a couple.

For Toronto, I don't know exactly how much the owners are willing to spend, but I think they'll go a bit over luxury tax if they have a winner so....

For the Raptors. Picked mostly just the guys that I think would put us over the top into a championship level team.

Tim Duncan -Yes
Kobe Bryant - Yes we need a SG
LeBron James - Yes we need a SF
Dwight Howard - Yes, Dwight, and Bosh compliment each other great
Kevin Garnett - No.
Dirk Nowitzki - No
Paul Pierce - No
Gilbert Arenas - No
Dwyane Wade - Yes, as long as he's healthy
Carmelo Anthony - No
Allen Iverson - No
Yao Ming - Yes. $25m probably pays for itself with the china revenue, and what-not.
Tracy McGrady - No
Steve Nash - No
Chris Paul - Yes, then trade Ford, and Calderon to end the Raps fans bickering

You would be wrong then.

Gilbert Arenas led teams in the playoffs, 50% of the time make it out of teh 1st round.

1st time- 2nd round, beat the bulls

2nd time- lost to the Cavs 4-2 (every single game was close and he avg'd like 34pts)

I'd pay 25 mill to only LeBron, Paul and Kobe. TD is great and all, but hes not in his prime anymore. Dwight is great, but hes not in his prime yet (thats scary).
