I have to give it to Team Hondo for a couple of reasons. First, Robinson and McHale are better inside than Moses and Pettit . . . and more efficient offensively though McHale's rebounding weaknesses will be fully on display against the likes of Moses and Pettit (btw, why 4 centers as backup bigs . . . no PFs out there?).
On the wing, Havlicek v. Pippen, Kobe v. West, are pretty even matchups; Moncrief is better than Penny but not enough to offset the inside advantage.
In reserve, while Thurmond and KJ have an advantage over their counterparts, it isn't a big one and Wallace, Aguirre, and Maravich are all one dimensional players while Laimbeer, Wilkes, and Richmond are all very solid two way players (at least compared to their counterparts).
So Team Hondo has a big edge inside and another edge in reserve; team West's only real positional advantage is the edge Moncrief has over Penny which is only straight up and neither are the primary scorer in their backcourt (although I realize West is the point, he and Kobe are dominant players on this squad, Moncrief and Penny are support players so I compared them that way).
Clear advantage Team Hondo.
