In this comparison I would urge your assessment to be based on what you've seen players do, and how good you project them to be.
I think it's a bad idea to use stats in this comparison as they are both rookies and their statistics probably won't resemble anything like their career stats when it's all said and done.
I like Stuckey a lot. I think he's going to be a very good defender and fits the Detroit style perfectly.
Young looks like he's an athletic freak with a nice handle and jumpshot. Not that this means anything, but Gilbert thinks he's going to be an all star in a few years. (He probably had a lot of points with him in NBA Live).
Overall I think this is a good comparison, and I would take Stuckey because I like his game more.

Young is the better scorer. Stuckey is the better all around player. Right now, Stuckey has the edge because he is a little more consistent. The only problem with Stuckey is that his upside is limited. He'll likely pan out to be a rock-solid starter, but I don't know if he'll ever be an all-star caliber player.
Young is a higher risk higher reward prospect. He may never pan out to be anything more than a rich man's Juan Dixon - an instant offense off the bench kind of guy. On the other hand, he could become a top shelf perimeter scorer like a Kevin Martin or Rip Hamilton. Scoring really comes easy to him. The man is smooth.
