LeBron is overall more athletic. But, Dwight is further ahead of other centers athletically than LeBron is to SF's.

LBJ is more athletic and much stronger at 6'8 260 LBS, than Dwight at 6'11 260 LBS. LBJ is much quicker, has terrific play making skills, and has a range of offensive weapons that he can use. Dwight, IMO is quite the overrated one, the guy has on skill on offense, and that is dunking and getting close to the rim and scoring points. We know what happens when your older...cough cough Shaq, but even then Shaq had about 2 inches and 50 LBS on him when he was in his prime.

They're close. Those 2 are the elite athletes of the NBA and represent physical dominance that NBA players have over any other sport.

LeBron is more athletic. He has a similarly freakish combination of size and speed, but he is a more fluid athlete than Dwight.

They're both freaks athletically, but in the regular season this year LeBron won a jumpball against Dwight and he was playing with a bad back. :D

Disagree. You can find 5'11, 6'1, 6'2 NFL players are as athletic as players in the NBA at the same size but you won't find 6'8, 6'6, 6'10 guys that athletic in the NFL.

diffferent size requirements. NFL players 6'6" and 270 lbs are quicker and stronger then comparable NBA players. Height is not that much of a requirement in the NFL as opposed to weight, in the NBA it's more vice versa.

Give me NFL runningbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, defensive ends, linebackers, and cornerbacks if you're counting major sports. Give me track athletes if you're talking in general.

The NBA has the best athletes in the world. No other sports will have 7ft people move like they're 6 ft.

A lot of people can do what NBA players do but the only problem for them is, they do it while being 5 or 7 inches shorter than NBA players.

If you think LeBron is 260, you cant possibly think that Dwight is any less than 285....

Dwight has about 3 inches on him and he looks much bigger on the court. I think Lebron is only 240-250.

I remember taht during USA practice, Lebron run into Dwight and hit the deck pretty bad. Then a few moments later, Dwight run into Lebron and once again hit the deck. I would say Howards got a good 20 pounds on Lebron IMO

Now, that doesn't mean he is the better athlete

This is the key right here. You look at Lebron's competition, and you have freak athletes that are pretty comparable to him like Josh Smith, Iguodala, Gerald Green, etc. but the only one who is even in Howard's league at that size is Greg Oden.

Lebron is at most, 2 inches shorter than Dwight. And Lebron claims he grew so it's probably 1 inch now.

If you're looking at things like vertical explosion and body control, NBA players are the best. If you're looking at things like straight line speed, and especially strength, NFL players completely demolish NBA players.
