I like the pippen and billups suggestions. I think Moses Malone would be good. Also any top big man would be good, too.

My picks would be Joe Dumars or Jerry West. Great defensive players that can guard the 1 or the 2. They can also both play the 1 or the 2. They are good playmakers, outside shooters, and slashers, and they both play very well without the ball.
Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle
Open your heart and hands, my son
Or you'll never make it over the river

Joe Dumars IMO. PERFECT back court mate for Iverson.

Given that Iverson is the same player as Isiah, only better -- yeah. :)

backcourt, i'd give him monta too.
if monta can deal with baron's chuking problem, i think he'd be perfect with iverson.

I assume the question was focused on a backcourt partner so I think a guy like a healthy Ron Harper would be a good guy, or Derek Harper or Dennis Johnson. I would want someone with enough size to guard 2s, but enough ball handling skills to play the point to allow AI either to play with the ball or off the ball some.

Bill Russell would be pretty perfect because of the defense, rebounding and leadership.

Marcus Camby. Melo is just the problem for AI.

You're kidding me. This is speaking as a guy who's wearing an authentic Iverson jersey as he's typing the post too.

A good spot-up shooter, even from distance, to supplement Iverson's mediocre shooting. He's a good fit. I think its most important to hide Iverson's deficiencies and then fill out the rest of the team. You'll wind up with a great squad that way. But just sticking him on a team with other stars like Melo and Camby won't do much for his game or his team.

I'm going with Pete Maravich. If you are building around Iverson, you are more about showtime than championships and Maravich is one of the greatest showman ever plus he's a big PG with outside shooting skills. Then you get three bangers up front (something like a Dalembert, Ben Wallace, Bruce Bowen front line) and cut em loose.

In today's game:

Backcourt: Either Manu Ginobili, Ray Allen, or Raja Bell.

Frontcourt: Tim Duncan, Dwight Howard, or Kevin Garnett

Manu Ginobili is the best answer I've seen yet, for current NBA players.
