Eric Gordon vs. Jerryd Bayless

My apologies if this comparison has already been made. I'm just curious as to what people think, since they both play a very similar game.

Gordon seems to be a better shooter, while Bayless is better at driving the lane.

Both are a bit undersized for what their teams are asking them to do, but play with bigger back court players so defensively they should both guard the PG.

I haven't seen enough of either one outside of SL / youtube clips to make a real comparison though.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Really? I see it as the complete opposite. Bayless is an excellent shooter who gets amazing elevation on his jumper, while Gordon was very streaky, shooting only 33.7% from the college 3. When it comes to driving, Gordon is stronger, more athletic, and a much better finisher around the basket. Maybe you got the names confused?
I'm basing this on their play in college, by the way. Bayless has apparently done nothing but slash in the Summer League so far, but I consider SL pretty meaningless.

Gordon is the better shooter easily IMO, he scoring like the most PPS in college ball, and shooting unreal percentages until he injured his wrist and all that coach turmoil took over.

I would've said Gordon, but Bayless has really impressed me in the Summer league so far, then again Gordon got hurt.

I haven't seen anything from Gordon since his college days so its really hard for me to really compare since in some fashion both their games have to adapt to NBA.

i dont think Gordon is a better shooter either...he does have more range but before the injury the 3pt shooting percentages were pretty even.

Gordon's size is not an issue to me cause he plays bigger, and hell be one of the better shot blocking guards in the league...but I like Bayless more cause he can penetrate and find others..Gordon doesnt have the vision or the ball handling that Bayless has. And Bayless has a midrange game..Gordon is more predictable.

I would have taken Bayless. I just feel as though Bayless has a better all-around game.
