I think this is more interesting...
Here are the regular season stats of Clyde Drexler (1984-85 to 1996-97) and Dwyane Wade (2003-04 to 2015-16) from when they were both 22-34 years old.
Dwyane Wade: 23.7 PPG, 5.8 AST, 4.8 REB, 1.7 STL, 0.9 BLK, 77.0 FT%, 50.1 EFG%
Drexler Clyde: 21.7 PPG, 6.0 AST, 6.5 REB, 2.1 STL, 0.7 BLK, 78.9 FT%, 49.8 EFG%
It's like they are stat-twins!! Even though Drexler played in a less free-flowing offenses with no hand-checking.
Drexler does edge Wade out with the advanced stats though.
Dwyane Wade: 110 ORTG, 104 DRTG, 72.7 OWS, 41.1 DWS, 17.9% WS/48, 4.8 OBPM, 0.9 DBPM, 5.7 BPM, 59.1 VORP
Drexler Clyde: 115 ORTG, 105 DRTG, 80.0 OWS, 46.2 DWS, 18.0% WS/48, 4.4 OBPM, 1.4 DBPM, 5.8 BPM, 66.0 VORP
I've highlighted the better stats in green.
And yes, I did list Drexler's name out that way (last name first) for even more visual similarity.
Why is it interesting? I don't see Drexler as one of the players this thread was made to compare? And we all know Wade didn't have a long prime. Came in already at 22 and without a meniscus in his knee. But at his peak I'd take him over anyone else discussed here for a playoff run. He was that good.
