players and teams that dont play like you remembered?

so i did somethingh generally unthinkable for me a month ago, watch a harden game

it was their 2014 series vs blazers and i expected harden to play the "usual" harden style. Instead he was a much more off ball harden that i am accostumed to

running off screens, catching and driving after off ball movement, playing off ball to lin or parsons (in a weird way parsons and jeremy looked more "heliocentric" when they had the ball)

this is completely different to what i remembered/expected harden to be like even in his early days with rockets

are there other players or teams like this, that didnt play like people remember them (at least not all the time) ?

09 LeBron vs the Magic. He was nowhere near as ball dominant as I expected considering his disgusting 38/9/8 statline, which was actually a mistake imo lol. Anytime he put the ball in his teammates hands they'd just take time off the shot clock dribbling and either pass it back to him or miss.

That being said I haven't watched it in awhile,cso maybe my memory of my memory of it is off.
