In 1988 2nd round against Magic and the Lakers Stockton got 19.3pts, 16.4ast, 4stl and 50.5fg%. Magic got 18.7pts, 10.3ast, 1stl and 50fg%.
The Jazz lost in a tight 7 games, outscored by one point per game. The Lakers were a good defensive team and with the far less spacing at that time Stockton's assists total was spectacular, particularly with far less talent on his team.
How legendary was this performance by Stockton in that series? Opponent obviously factors largely.
What PGs in history could've done that?

One of the least talked about great series in history. Stockton completely torched the Champion Showtime Lakers. He was by far the best player on the court that series. His last 3 games is one of the best 3 game stretches ever.
Game 5: 23 Points, 24 Assists, 5 Steals
Game 6: 14 Points, 17 Assists, 3 Steals
Game 7: 29 Points, 20 Assists, 5 Steals

So, I think it has to be pointed out that the Jazz were less effective offensively against the Lakers than the Mavs and the Pistons were in the next two rounds. Not saying Stockton and the Jazz' performance wasn't good, or that Stockton's defense doesn't deserve praise, but if we're talking about the Lakers as a good defensive team in the context of Stockton's performance against them, we should probably also ask "How did Mark Aguirre do against the Lakers?"

Probably peaked in that series, maybe even outlier like Nash did against the Mavs in the 2005 Playoffs. Overall, definitely arguably a top 5 level year.
