KG and Russell feel a touch light, I'd probably want to go at least 250 lbs to bang with Jokic on the post.

I like Hakeem or Duncan, also Thurmond despite him being a bit lighter. But I think I'd go engaged Wilt as my first pick.

My boy Chuck Hayes could also give him hell for like 10 minutes with his deceptive physicallity and IQ 8-)
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

David robinson: best combination of strength and size.

Robinson didn't have much lower body strength. He was much lighter than Jokic.

I don't think Duncan would do that great of job on him, Rasheed gave him problems because he would play outside. I'd say maybe a Garnett because he could play outside on the perimeter and down low to keep up with Jokic.

Draymond Green and Dennis Rodman. Strong bases with lower centers of gravity are more effective at preventing a post player from getting deep position. And on top of that both guys have very quick feet to keep up with Jokic on close outs.

When did Sheed give him problems?

Hakeem's quickness would give him a lot of trouble.

Ayton has a high center of gravity, not a particularly strong base and he did just fine against Jokic. His feet arent near as quick as most of the poll either like when we saw Giannis abuse him and Ad gave him a lot of problems before he got hurt too

Jokic is just too stationary for a lot of his offense and his release takes forever on 3s which is easier to play on the pop for these athletes in poll and take away. in reality most of the poll options would do a fantastic job on him and some would flat out shut him down assuming they have decent enough wing support for shooters/cutters and their penetration

Hakeem, Sheed, Robinson, Thurmond, Wilt, Timmy would have him in hell. Jokic really needs a dynamic guard on pick and roll and Dhos like Murray to make himself more dynamic on offense just by himself he's much easier to defend

Does anyone want to retract their Draymond mentions? Jokic in those last 3 games averaged 35/15/6 on 66 fg% and 73 ts%.

Draymond was never guarding him fully 1v1 or anything, mans was def too small lol

He’s better vs the more finesse big men but Jokic is finesse + bigboi

That's my point though. And that's why I didn't even mention him in the poll, the ideal defender for Jokic would be someone bigger and stronger than Draymond.

1. Size not defend him in the post.
2. Length to contest his shots, as he wasn't much of a vertical finisher.
3. Just enough quickness to defend him without the ball.
4. Extreme discipline and fundamentals.

Nate Thurmond checks all the boxes. Why not going for the perfect choice here? Lack of him on this poll is very concerning.
That's a excellent choice. I'd also give consideration to KG similarly to how AD gave Jokic problems. And he meets all the criteria you listed he's long and lengthy, quick, and has the fundamentals and discipline

Garnett is a good choice, but I'm not sure he had enough lower body strength to defend him in the post.
