Please explain to me why it is worse to lose a series 4-2 than 4-0.

When you go up 2 0 historically in NBA history you usually are expected to win.

As teams leading 2-0 have lost a series just 7% of the time in NBA history.

Meanwhile, Chris Paul just lost his fifth series after leading 2-0.

That stat will rightly be held against him as a black mark on his career and legacy.
Reggie Jackson is amazing and a killer in the clutch that's all.

i would be critical for avoiding shooting in the first half, suns desperately needed any offense and paul midramge spam was as good as any other option

but i agree is nuts to define his legacy for strugfles at 37 years old, everythingh after 35 should be extra credit in a player resume

As a Duncan fan I'm nervous people will start holding the 2016 Playoffs against him. After all if a little man like Paul's playoff performances at 37 are fair game to define a player's legacy why not a big man's play at 39.

Stockton didn't win a title. Nash didn't win a title. There's more to a player than just ring count.

He deserves some criticism, but Paul vs Curry will continue as long as the numbers are there.

Not choke as CP3 does.

So just to nail you down, you think it is worst to lose a series after going up 2 0 than say
Shaq getting swept 6 times

Yes I think it is far worse.

I'm a Duncan fan too and the difference is that he had a long rich history of winning when it matters, so the occasional clunker could be forgiven.

CP3 has done absolutely nothing in his career and gets branded the "Point God" and ranked above players with actual accomplishments. You can't hype him up as a legend for going 14-14 against an injury-depleted, 10 games under .500 8th seed in the first round and then turn around and use the age excuse when he chokes like he always does in the second round.

Thank you for going on record. We completely disagree. It is better to win games in the playoffs and ultimately lose than not win at all IMO

MartinToVaught wrote:There's a whole lot of CP3 narratives that need to be rewritten now. Here's another one: Blake Griffin was not some glorified Stromile Swift who could only dunk, nor did he single-handedly hold CP3 back from greatness. He was a legitimate all-around beast and an MVP candidate in his prime who always stepped up his game in the playoffs (unlike CP3, who always chokes in them). Even now, as a role player with all of his athleticism long gone due to injuries, he was STILL a bright spot for the Nets in the playoffs these last two years. It's time for everyone to put some respect on Blake's name and stop hating on him to prop up CP3.

What's crazier is that when people look back they may actually think that Draymond Green was better than Blake at this point even though Blake was an actual MVP candidate just to prop up CP3 and to put down Steph.
