This year's Warriors remind me a lot of the 2007 Spurs, in that this year's Warriors weren't as good as previous Championship teams (like 2015 and 2017) - [the 2007 Spurs weren't as great as the 1999 and 2003 teams], but the teams ahead of them lost early in the playoffs resulting in an easier path of the Championship. That Grizzlies series might end up being the toughest series the Warriors play, just like the Suns were for the Spurs in 2007.

I was pretty turned off by what I saw from the Warriors in the Grizzlies series. They played a big portion of that series like they didn't even care. Completely sloppy and careless. They have this arrogance about them like they can just turn it on and blow the doors off of teams whenever they want but they're not that team anymore. They have a higher ceiling than any of the remaining teams but a lower floor as well.

Warriors are the favorites even though both teams in the east look strong and I think are capable of beating the Warriors.

Also regardless of whether they win the title or not, I think this postseason proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Warriors didn't need KD to win, which should have been obvious considering they already won a ring (and easily could've won a 2nd in historic fashion) before KD joined.

I feel what you say, i just think they are still that team though. Certainly the absence of KD takes a lot of the "untouchable" aura but then they have retooled wisely. From Poole to Porter to Bjelica (one of my favorite european players in the league, massively underrated imho) to even Cuminga and Wiseman they are seriously deep. I get some of the Spurs vibe imagining they manage to develop the young guys as Steph, Klay and Draymond decline. They are the only dynasty we've seen in recent years...2015-2018, then various injuries, now back and here to stay.
