As always, you're entitled to your opinion, but I can't see an argument for Davis being a better player. He was very good, but he and Lebron scored about the same, Lebron outrebounded him, was a dramatically superior playmaker, was a better defender, I mean the angles for arguing that Davis was better are EXCEEDINGLY limited.

offensively lebron was clearly better, even with davis wild shooting that playoffs

but davis was the most important defender

Davis is a very good player. THe idea that he was better than Lebron in that run doesn't really track.

I’m sorry but just by repeatedly postulating it like its fact instead of your personal opinion as a known fan of leBron isnt very convincing. But as you said yourself everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I thought leBron always knows how to play the stat game but it was all AD vs Nuggets and later as well. We saw the next seasons (as wellas the one before AD arrived) what LeBron managed without him - basically nothing but big announccements.

So i see no case gainst KD here. Most people agree that he ws the key to the warriors campaigns - which doesn’t take anything away from Curry. Last year KD did a phenomenal carry job that fell short by the length of one toe. Coming off achilles rupture, too. Top10 all time.

You are so wrong because AD is under .500 in his career without LBJ....Both are very important to the lakers and both can’t stay healthy since their title but this thread have nothing to do with this but with KD vs Barkley. You struggle big time with this

This is also true that the warriors don’t need Kd to compete for title and curry has always been the most important player to the warriors and who giving very easy basket to Kd and other.Kd need the warriors more that the other way and congratulations to derailing this thread again with your all time hate of Lebron

That's perfectly fair, I haven't said much because it'd derail the thread a bunch, but I'm happy to flesh it out in another one if you want to have the conversation!

so i was the first one to defend davis as lebron equal in 2020 but...sorry what? did you just imply that lebron was the unproven one before davis came?

you realize the 19 pelicans were even worse than the 19 lakers and that lebron was, well, lebron while davis had never made it past the second rouns right?

if anyone was "unproven" before their team-up it was davis

but i think is really close

Also, for clarity, I didn't mean that Lebron was the better defender. I meant that he was playing good defense and his offensive value made him more valuable than Davis. That stuff is, of course, always a little tricky because clearly they were never going to win the title without AD, who was a huge part of that. Just that Lebron was better on O and the team was built around what he could do.

As a big Lebron fan I think Davis was comparable during the 2020 run but I still have Lebron ahead. I also think he was more important to the team but I think that goes without saying.
As for the poll, KD largely because he's easier to build around than Barkley whose status as a tweener makes it difficult for me to imagine building a team around him. I think in career value their very close at this point.

He has the rings. It might leave him higher on an all-time list than Barkley. He was never remotely the best player on the Warriors.

Thats your opinion and you’re entitled to it. I disagree and so did most people voting for FMVP, as well as countless other experts.

Personally i think AD was the best player on the lakers for their title 2020; the moment he went down it was crystal clear leBron alone coudlnt do a damn thing. But that is also just an opinion.

Stay on topic.
