Okay, I know this is a ridiculously reactionary take, but is it far-fetched to say that his ceiling is greatest Mavs player of all-time? (Dirk is my fav player btw)

His size and strenght were underrated when he came in the league. A mini-Lebron sprinkled with some Manu and Bird here and there. Harden is more systematic and bullet-like. Similar to Lebron because Doncic is a patient ball-handler, he takes all time needed to evaluate his opportunities, and operate the P&R without rushing, manipulating the defenses with confidence. He isn't afraid the doors are all closing. Like Bird in the sense that he's comfortable even if he's stuck. He can make the most out of limited situations. Finally, his unpredictability (like Manu).

Lebron didn’t develop that patience until his early 30s. I can see a comparison between Luka and last 2 years LeBron but he’s nothing like early career LeBron. Luka plays with more patience than any rookie I can remember.

Most players thin out as the season goes along but Luka looks like he’s legit dropped 20 pounds since October. I have no idea how he got so fat in the first place but it’s a good sign he’s gotten in shape so quickly because boy, he is a sensation.

He’s more Manu than Lebron. A bigger version of Manu. Who was really good.

Not all. It's not a stretch to place his ceiling above Dirk. What would be a stretch would be to say that it's likely his career will eclipse Dirk. It's rarely wise to say that regarding a top 20 All Time player.
