They're also just +4 in 155 minutes playing together.

Scorching hot take:

The raptors will beat the nets if they meet in the playoffs

(I’m still on the nets r gonna be in the finals bandwagon)

If they gave it to him during this offseason I can see why they wanted to bank on it after the bubble, although idr when they gave it

Otoh the lakers are better equipped to defend the nuggets this year as a whole

He'd have gotten a max elsewhere in free agency (he got it after 2019, but wasn't a free agent until last offseason I believe). But instead of having him for 5 years he'd be on a 3+1 from another team's offer possibly and could leave sooner (see Hayward in Utah). I don't think he's a superstar or anything, but its just sort of how free agency works with younger players who've shown as much as he did.

Turns out the Clippers aren't that good after all. Our schedule was just easy. And now PG and Beverley are both out for god knows how long. This really sucks.

Hey man the Clips' SRS was around +7 which is pretty damn good. Idk if the 3p% is sustainable, but even if it regresses they should still be a fine team.

6-5 against teams with winning records and trending downwards. That speaks louder to me than the SRS.

How long is PG out?

He has bone edema in his foot. So while there's nothing confirmed quite yet, he could be out for as long as a few months.

This whole season is just weird, nobody is running away with much of anything and guys in and out so much things change quickly. Hope PG is OK, but not really taking a ton away from night to night results or moving off many priors this year. Just so much weirdness.

Edit: Also just checked but 2 of those 5 losses for LAC are the Spurs w/o PG and the Hawks without either (or Bev).

Second edit way later: ESPN has it as 8-6 after the Kings game. Not sure where the other 2 wins are.

NBA tampering the standings with this covid BS renders team records largely irrelevant this year.

The cream will still rise to the top because 72 games is more than enough to do so, but the awards should be given out strictly on an individual basis...

None of that "well this guy's team has 6 more wins than the other guy's team" when players are being put on lockdown every week...
