I think beasley is a little more proven. at least you know what he can do without looking at per36 stats. Anthony "Magic" randolph is just a player with potential who could be good but PROBABLY wont.

then again im sure amare randolph gallo will all be all stars and superstars HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

And it's not like Beasley's a couple of years older, no. They're almost the exact same age.

Randolph isn't really a major disappointment though. RealGM homers aside-you aren't likely to get anything more than a role player with the 14th pick.

That's nonsense. There have been plenty of good players that have been picked with the 14th pick and beyond. Ever hear of Danny Granger, Al Jefferson, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, David West, Josh Howard, Zach Randolph, etc? Draft selection means nothing. If you can play you can play and Randolph has shown he can play. His potential is sky high.

Maybe you misunderstood my post. I'm saying that the context of "major disappointment" is entirely different for someone who was picked 2nd as opposed to a someone who was picked 14th. I also don't see how listing outliers proves that you aren't "likely" to draft a role player when picking at 14(as if this was a slight to Randolph in the 1st place?).

I still stand in the same place.

Right now Beasleys game is based more off of skill and Randolphs is based more off of athleticism and effort. Randolph has defense, rebounding and even though he scores differently, he has a similar scoring ability.

Randolph is a better fit for most teams and he has more room to grow. I still think that Randolph is the love child of AK47 and Tyson Chandler, so don't you think for a second that I'm calling him a star.

If you have watched him play you don't have to look at the stats.

 no.

Beasley is, was, and likely always will be, a disappointment.

And as raw as AR is, he's more talented and actually has defensive potential, while Beasley will likely just be another wing scorer that can't pass or defend.

Laughter doesn't legitimize your argument. I'll take the guy who can be the first option on a bad team over a situational role player on a bad team any day...

Here is an argument, both have been a bucket of suck compared to the expectations of several fans have had of both players... End of story, ya basta, FIN...

How long would this thread be if either of them were actually good?

Beasley is more talented and better player if he focused on playing the game instead instead of letting off court issues and selfishness get in the way of his talent. But that said if I had team I would take Antonia Randolph.

injury I think

you could always see Randolph's talent on the floor, crazy athletic and good instincts, I underestimated his handles as well

Im still not sure he'll put it together though but he'll have the opportunity to prove me wrong
