however with lebron switching over to durant now we are back to kevin love on draymond

well see how it plays out they have 11 months to figure something out

The Celtis trade really makes too much sense. Love is now truly worthless against GS. Him posting Durant is not a positive play for Cleveland, and Durant gives them a hell of a rebounder for his position as well.

Irving / Bradley / Williams
Smith / Bradley / Shumpert
Crowder / Jefferson / Shumpert
James / Dirk ( )
Thompson / Frye

That's a pretty sexy matchup versus GS.

I don't see it happening. Last year was a miracle as is. Maybe they win, durant feels all empty inside and it doesn't feel right. Otherwise its gonna be all them for a while

LeBron just saw a huge boost in his fanbase.

Bron thought beating the Warriors last year was a legacy-capper...

Really hope we see Spurs and Wolves face the Warriors in the playoffs this year. Really want to see what the greatest basketball minds in the league come up with to stop them. It sounds impossible on paper though. The amount of space this team will force you to guard is ridiculous. Curry probably gonna give Durant shooting tips too and make him even better at hitting threes smh

Maybe LeBron gets motivated in the regular season again and goes out to win MVP. Westbrook has to be the favourite right now though imo.

Lebron best fix his jumpshot. Maybe add a few pounds and improve his finishing as well. Screw the MVP (though I think its looking likely he gets it anyway, doubt any GS player would get voted in this circumstance).
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

The Cavs need another wing player, they can't have RJ guarding KD or Dray if they want even a slight chance.

thing about westbrook is we saw he can't lead a team to over 50 wins

I think its gonna be a correction for not believing lebron was still the best player alive. pretty sure he wins if he has an identical season to last year

When did we see that? If you mean the 2014-15 season, then it's not really a great example, because he missed 15 games that season. Thunder won 45 games, so with Westbrook playing 80 games, it's entirely conceivable they would've won 50.

For a player who carries a bad or average team, every missed game is crucial.

How many wins is OKC good for without Durant/Ibaka though? MVPs basically always come from a team with one of the best records in the league. Other than the lockout season, I don't think anybody has won in at least several decades on a <55 win team. Just hard to see him winning if OKC gets 50 wins and finishes with like the 5th-7th seed. And personally, I think even that is being optimistic.

LeBron has a great opportunity to get it this year. He's got narrative on his side and everybody starting the season healthy. If he puts up his usual numbers and the team gets 60+ wins, I think he'll have a great chance. Kawhi is another good bet - if his offensive numbers pick up a bit and the Spurs finish 2nd in the west, he'll get some votes.

I guess I forgot he missed that many games. Also had kd for like 25 and they won most of those. But yeah he could and probably will get them to like 7th seed but idk if he can win mvp next year

I dont see Lebron getting motivated for regular seasons anymore. Beating this Warrior team would do far more for his legacy than another Mvp specially with the fan contingent switching to him and Warriors being the villains now. Its actually a scenario for the masses to put him above Mj if he gets it done.

Its gonna be either Westbrook or Kawhi IMO unless Davis carries the Pelicans to Hca with an incredible season. Actually maybe the stars align for Cp3 for once for Mvp but i highly doubt he will have an Mvp narrative like last year specially if Blake is healthy and im not sure he can replicate the regular season he had last season. He might just stand out enough with coasting from Lebron and no one on the Warriors getting it.

Pop needs to do everyone a solid and trade Kawhi to the Cavs.

Even LMA would be great. LMA for Love and one of the Cavs role players.

Golden State still needs to stay healthy for 100+ games before Cleveland has to worry about them. That's never a guarantee. I don't think they could lose any 1 of their big 4 and still be favored over the Cavs. 26 or 27 other teams, sure... But not Cleveland. If healthy though this was already a rough matchup for the Cavs as presently constituted

Only threat to golden state in the west (if you want to even call them a threat) is San Antonio. And if they sign pau they could actually be on to something.... If you're going to beat them it has to be a clash of styles, and they'll have a stable of bigs that would be uniquely equipped to make golden state pay for their lack of size. I still wouldn't like their chances, but they'd have the type of team who could pose them problems. This is still a game of match ups. Miami on paper used to be way more talented than Indiana, but the pacers were uniquely equipped to make life rough on them...

This move has led me to rooting for the spurs. Even though the media can never go two seconds without mentioning how beautiful they are offensively, I hope Pau joins them

Same here. And I've long hated San Antonio. Ive rooted against them in literally every playoff series they've ever played in the Duncan era. Going to be a weird year.

Cavs should really try to get in on the Bogut trade. Someone's gonna take him regardless, they might as well benefit. I'm not a CBA expert but they have a trade exception they could absorb him in, no? He'll certainly be useful.
