Anthony Randolph is better. If he had the green light to do whatever he wants a la Beasley he'd be putting up even better #'s while playing D.

Heck, I think it's fun to look back on an old and hard fought thread years later . . . just surprised there are still people thinking Randolph is going to blow up.

they both suck and are never going to be anything

but if I had to take one it'd be Beasley. At least he has some skill rather than the "talent" (whatever "talent" is supposed to mean in this context) of Randolph

He might not blow up, but it's not that much of a stretch to think he'll be better than Beasley. Beasley is a volume guy who scores on poor efficiency, and the only reason he gets the chance to put up those volume numbers is because he has the green light to shoot whenever. He's also a mediocre rebounder, poor passer, and horrible defender. He's no good.

And what exactly is Randolph good at? Beasley at LEAST as the POTENTIAL to be a superstar, I can't say the same about Anthony.

Both are limited mentally, so neither would probably reach their potential but I can see Beasley being a 6th man on a championship team at worst while Anthony will be a solid role player.

No he doesn't. Do you even watch Beasley play? He has so many holes to his game and his character that he'll never ever even be a star in this league.

Lol at superstar...

I don't think it's a matter of blowing up it's just a matter of Beasley being vastly overrated. Per 36 Randolph was better than Beasley last year... Now I don't doubt Beasley is a more versatile scorer but when you throw in all the other facets of the game from what we've seen from both players right now Randolph is better especially if ur goal is to win.

AR just needs a chance to consistently play big minutes like Beasley got last year.

Actually I do, DO YOU even know what potential means? He has plenty of skill, he has a smooth jumper and finish around the hoop efficiently but opts to shoot a whole bunch of jumpers and tends to just not care at times.

You and Mufasa habitually bash Beasley so theres really no point arguing.

I expect this thread to be bumped when they're both out of the league and updated with their Chinese league stats.

Lol, this thread. I know it's bumping it from the grave, but bwahahaha, seriously.

That one play sums up Anthony Randolph - great physical talent, but a total bonehead. While he's strutting around thinking he's a badass for his block, Dorsey gets the ball back and ends up scoring, anyways. The guy has the IQ of a peanut.

Couldn't agree more. This play epitomizes Anthony Randolph.
