Is this tournament bracket based? For instance, is round 2 match ups going to be randomized - or will it go by the seeding?

Add more judges...take longer to get votes in. :)

For the record, I don't mind more judges or more voices. Just pointing out that some have said they wanted this to move along quicker.

Actually, thinking it over again, I'm not sure if it's fair to add a judge in this particular round. Everyone should be judged by the same number of judges in each round.

batmana: Apologies, but I think it's better if you start judging in the next round, meaning the semi-finals. We'll keep the same number of judges for the quarterfinals as they are.

Re: more judges. I think its better to have more judges as you go deeper into the playoffs, because it should be harder to win. Adding more judges means more opinions and more people you have to convince.

Hibachi, how about you start judging later on as well?

If you were interested Hibachi, I'm willing to be a judge after I get eliminated, which unfortunately seems to be a matter of a day or two... I want to continue to participate in this project, in any role I can.

Yea, ironic that we play each other after we talked about our potential matchup in the draft thread. You have certain advantages over me, I have certain advantages over you. That's as specific as I'll get in this thread haha.

I'm going to get my write-up ready so I can post it once our matchup thread is created. I think you should do the same if you have the time. I think it would help speed up this project. We would still have the ability to respond and counter each others' coaching moves later in that thread.

Thanks, Hibachi, I was thinking the same thing - if the others are fine with it, I would join the judges from the next round of the playoffs.

I hope I didn't slow down the voting process for the 3 - 6 matchups, I meant to be added for the next round of playoffs as I thought it would be fair to have the same judges vote for all matchups in a particular round.

Saddens me that you both have to duke it out. Our conference is stacked!

Steal of the draft: Derrick Rose in Round 10
Reach of the draft: Chauncey Billups
He should have been drafted:Adrian Dantley, Gus Williams and Brad Daugherty
He should NOT have been drafted: Nene, Afflalo, Muresan, Granger, and quite a few others others
Best offensive team:RSCD3
Best defensive team:Me
Strongest core (top 3 picks):RSCD3 with Lebron, Mchale, Yao

well...without voting for myself

Steal of the draft: Kevin Johnson ... incredible peak who I'd take over Isiah and Westbrook
Reach of the draft: Marion or Paul George. When Marion was slotted for the PF position, I thought that was a mistake. PG is a great player but doesn't quite have those peak years to be the 3rd player chosen on a team that already has Grant Hill.
He should have been drafted: Daugherty, Ainge
He should NOT have been drafted: Sprewell, Brad Miller, Starks
Best offensive team: Notanoob, ardee
Best defensive team: Bruh Man, CaliBullsFan
Strongest core (top 3 picks): O_6, whitehops
Match up you wanna see in the playoffs: Narigo, Notanoob ... Jordan & Hakeem or ardee vs Bruh Man ... offense vs defense
Top 3 teams: ardee, O_6, Sagittaron
Favourite to win the playoffs: john248
Any other categories you wanna comment on that I missed: If I were to see how this season would play out...
looks good on paper team: dhodgkins
freak show team: batmana with Shaq, Muresan, Mason
fun team to watch: ardee's offense. dhodgkins when all their guys are on the same page and high flying
team not mentioned enough: heartbreakkid
MVP: Jordan due to the ton of minutes and offensive load he'd have to carry
DPOY: KG since he's the guy who's on the best defensive team
6th Man: Chris Mullin or Schrempf
ROY (best player under 23): Derrick Rose

Huh?
john248 wrote:team not mentioned enough: heartbreakkid

Earlier, I mentioned his team a lot as the one with a top 3 core, and probably the best frontcourt (Karl, Doc, Artis). As far as the best frontcourt, IMO he'd be slightly ahead of RSCD (Yao, McHale, LeBron), just because HeartBreak's big guys fit better together than RSCD's guys.

Agree with most of your choices tho.

Match up you wanna see in the playoffs: Bruh Man vs. CaliBullsFan

No disrespect to whitehops who is currently in a very close battle with CaliBullsFan in their 1st round matchup. I think whitehops has a good team and could easily win his 1st round matchup.

But Bruh Man vs. CaliBullsFan would be a defensive battle for the ages. Duncan vs. Garnett. Payton vs. Kidd. And Pippen, Moncrief, Hibbert, and Marc Gasol in the mix. So much great defense.

I thought Bruh Man had the best defensive team, then CaliBulls. KG would def win DPOY in this league, anchoring the best defensive team in the league. Duncan always gets snubbed so no chance he gets it.
