How was that shot only listed as 32 feet? More like 38-40 feet

They still haven't even lost to a good team yet. All the teams they lost to have been mediocre to bad teams.

I looked at the box score and I was like DAAAAAAAAMN!
And then I saw the highlights and that he left the game after he rolled his ankle... and came back and did that...
A few years ago I was just daydreaming about a what if player that could just hit shots from where ever, and how awesome that player would be and how many titles he would win. Seeing that player actually play in real life is something else.

I probably count this one as "lost" if not for Curry's crazy night. I thought we are losing by 20 in the 3rd,

The thing about Currys insane 3 point shooting is that it allows him to get his at an even more insane rate without ever really deviating from the flow of the offense, it's really incredible. When most of your shots are worth 1.25 points to begin with..
Worth nothing the rest of their big 5 was 2-14 from 3
so Stephs 16 3PA accounted for 50% of the teams 3 pointers

These old school guys have obviously lit a fire in Curry. He looked locked in to put on a clinic. I love his composure , he doesn't even get worked up when he gets hot. He did on the final shot, but he's normally calm like Duncan, Kareem in their demeanor.

Will this finally be the first unanimous MVP. Or are we gonna get another Melo/AI vote just to keep tradition going?

When you look at this statement, realize how ridiculous it is, and then actually agree with it, you know you're witnessing something special.

If they break the record don't see how it isn't unanimous

I'm so glad his contemporaries are giving him his due. They know better than anyone how ridiculous he is.

He is good let's not get carried away. Has to be able to do it in the playoffs and finals. All of this will be moot if they lose to San Antonio in the playoffs.

Someone will say Westbrook or LeBron

I don't think anyone will say LeBron, but yeah probably someone will say Westbrook.
It'll be just as terrible a decision, but we can probably start making a club out of that. If Westbrook "wins" he'll obviously be by far the best player in that club though, haha

Just for fun, I may go back and see if I can find some posts during Shaq and LeBron's MVP years. Shaq's may be too far back, though.
I'll believe it when I see it though, because I remember what everyone was saying during those years, yet it didn't happen.

If you go just by titles, you would give the tiebreaker to Kobe for reaching more Finals.
But Duncan also never had teams anywhere close to as bad as the 05-07 Lakers or the 13-16 Lakers.
Spurs winning percentage with Duncan (through the 2015 season): .704
Lakers winning percentage with Kobe: .613
I think winning close to 10% more games over nearly 20 years more than makes up for Kobe's 1 extra Finals appearance.
To be frank, I pretty firmly believe that what the Spurs have done in the Duncan era is comparable to what Russell's Celtics did, just that the nature of the league makes it so 11 titles isn't a serious possibility.
It's funny you happen to say this, because I've actually been writing about this in my notes the past several days.

He's the best player ever. I don't think I'm being reactionary either. Not saying he's gonna have the best career ever. But he's playing at a level higher than anyone has ever reached.
