Imagine if both of those guys were healthy, the Celtics would be right there with GS and Hou imo...possibly even better. Their defense is elite, and they're only missing guys that can reliably and efficiently create offense off the dribble, and Kyrie/Hayward solve both of those problems. Hayward also fits very nicely into their defensive-minded team, since he's a good defender too.

Moving forward, I think the Celtics are definitely one of the future powerhouses of the league, along with GS and Hou. They just need Kyrie and Hayward to stay healthy.

Agreed about the Celtics.

To take it a step further, depending on what happens in this FA, I think there's a legitimate chance the Celtics and Sixers are the top two teams in the league next year.

I believe it’s Horford.

Unless KD leaves #1 will still be GSW imo.

Following the "less passes are better" tweets I posted earlier, Philly's offense would be ten times better just running pick and rolls for Simmons/Embiid than the constant floppy they do now. Redick and Marco take some terrible, terrible shots.

The set they called at the end there was absolutely baffling. That play hasn't worked all game, so you call it and risk turning it over (which is exactly what happened) with the best case scenario being a bad shot?

Brett Brown is extremely lucky Belinelli's shot went in to force OT.

They're still missing some open shots, they were nailing these against the heat.

He seems straight eager to take the ball out of his best players' hands. Why is Simmons passing it up to Redick of all people at that moment? You rely on your best players to create shots for your supporting players, you don't rely on the supporting players to create shots. With the way they're sagging off Simmons, setting screens for him and getting him going downhill will result in a shot at the rim every time.

They've run pick and roll for Simmons about three times tonight I think, and have gotten a shot at the rim every time.

Stevens is so far ahead of the pack in terms of coaching it's a joke

How many games has Boston won like that this year? I’ve seen several end with them forcing a turnover in the final seconds.

Boston is just so damn smart. Felt like we were watching the Hustler with Al Horford as Minesota Fats, and Philly the young gun who just isn't ready yet.

Also, LeBron back to the finals looking pretty dang good now. As impressive as Stevens & sons are, it just doesn't seem likely that this is the team that's going to take LeBron down.

Unbelievable how they can't get the ball in bounds.

Um yeah...all those people and analysts talking about how Philly shouldn't go for LeBron and "not ruin the team" looking real silly.

I don't care either way if Bron goes there or not but the whole pre-mature crowning of Philly before they had done anything meaningful was silly too.

For a team who is "next" it's still somewhat of a concern PHI is built around a post center and a PG without a jumpshot.

I see no case for Lebron being good for that franchise still. They need Simmons to makes these kinds of mistakes to grow. While I thought philly was going to win this game and the series even as recently as 30 minutes ago, nothing has changed with lebron going there being bad.

As good as Boston have been Simmons has been that bad. He’s mentally gone in this series. He was so bad today picking up his dribble and refusing to attack the rim when he got a one on one
