I don't think the Lakers just bailed on this season like everyone claims. Yes defense and bigs are on life support but you just freed up a lot of offense first guys you can trade for dimes on the dollar and still get better.

I think Lakers need guard defense and defensive big still but they don't need playmaking.

So yes they will make moves. Hope they grab RW3

I'd be shocked. Just losing with these two pays for itself. You need a loaded billionaire owner like Balmer to say no to the huge business that is Lebron. Luka was also getting tired of losing so you need to appease him till ink is dry on an extension.

I just hope LeBron isn't mad that he was reportedly unaware of anything ongoing considering his ties with AD/Klutch/him not being used to not controlling stuff.

I couldn't believe that Lakers can fight for a title - now, their roster is easily fixable.

They still have two 1st round picks and Austin Reaves to trade.

This is championship-level roster and I don't think there was a realistic scenario in which Lakers could build a championship roster around LeBron and AD. They can literally built Mavs 2024 like team - but with LeBron instead of Kyrie.

At this point I guess the biggest question is, “Is Reaves actually expendable?”

If yes, they have to get an anchor inside. If not, then they have to consider moving everything else for that.

I think they can win a round as is. I'm not sure if they could prior to the trade.

I don't know why people are calling collusion. The new CBA comes with as close to a hard cap as it can get. Past a certain point there are no more improvements to be made and a team has peaked. At that point you need to start swapping key pieces. Trade season is about to become a yearly gameshow.

I really hope he won't do anything stupid, him playing a 1b/robin role with Doncic is just the best solution possible. Him requesting a trade to Warriors wouldn't be surprising for me if he's hurt that he was left out unaware of everything.
