With Caruso gone, maybe it just makes sense to keep Dennis as a 6th man.

I actually like everything LA has done today it’s just what they didn’t do that’s a mistake ( Caruso)

Schroder fooked himself so hard lmaoooooooo

Now New Orleans, Chicago and New York got their Pgs. Only team left that needs one is Washington and they seem keen on Spencer Dinwiddie

If there was such a thing as negative leverage Schroder has that rn

It does but he wanted a bigger role? If he would just buy in sure. I dunno he’s always seemed to have an attitude.

Westbrook-Bazemore-Mills-THT among 1-2 guards, with Ellington as a shooter?

Damn, I hope that THT improves his jumpshot, because we need a defense here badly.

Vogel is a defensive coach. Getting defensive players would be an overkill fwiw.

I understand their plan, they are obviously constrained by cheap owners. They are going for undervalued players with questions on defense and 3 shooting that they think they can overcome with Vogels defensive plan and bringing in min perimeter shooters. They will try get value back for Schroeder, they will likely get a TPE from Caruso and they still have TaxMLE to spend. These should be for more shooters.

Lakers have him by the balls now.

It’s take the money and be a happy 6th man, or go get the MLE somewhere.

Na im good

Can’t shoot well

Attitude/arrogance was too much

I want him in a sign and trade for Buddy, or a starting 2/3

Then mle for Mills, OPJ or Gay (if we trade for a shooter, then sign wing and vice versa)

Worrying part of all these signings is if Dinwiddie was bluffing on wanting to go to Washington Brooklyn might be able to keep him. There really is no other spot left for him. Miami, Dallas, No, My, Chicago, La all taken

Turning down that extension looks dumber by the day. And it already looked pretty dumb at the time.

This thought did cross my mind but I think Schroeder goes to Dallas (Kidd/Dirk connection) in an SnT with Hield going to Lakers and Sac getting Powell/Burke. Sac would be the hold up, probably want LAL27FRP.

They still need a starter level 2 guard. If Dennis comes back, then he probably still starts at point with Russ moving to the 2. Yuck.

It’s better to keep his contract, then trade it in the future. Letting him walk would be losing Danny Green and a first round pick for nothing.

"Kidd/Dirk connection" doesn't seem like a good reason for them to acquire Schroder. Why do they need him when they already have Brunson?

They don't have a starter that can defend opposing PGs. Neither Brunson, THJ, Doncic can do a good job on point of attack PGs.

They were looking at Lowry for that but it fell through.

Sure but if he’s unhappy it’ll diminish his impact. I dunno maybe not. He was great in that role for okc maybe Westbrook can show him

I think Buddy is better but Dennis is a fine compromise

Ya I want to sign and trade him for a valuable player ofc

Wish we kept AC :(

Maybe we still get an exception for him

But if we use it, then I question why we didn’t just pay him..

Also that’s the other thing, surely Lakers won’t offer him
The same deal right? If it comes to that he has no market so it’s be stupid to give him that.

Then on his end he’ll be bitter about getting a lesser deal on the same team.
