I'd normally advocate letting someone stay in the project if they behave, but RGM rules about banned posters is the main problem

I don't get it...

Baller2014 is a GilmoreFan sockpuppet, evidently.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

I knew he was someone else under another name, as while looking for something else, I came across a post that was by him under another name, though that one wasn't GilmoreFan.

So FTR, Russell would be No. 2 without banned posters vote. The anarchist in me hopes he drops now...

He was too gung-ho about commandeering the project and who should and shouldn't vote, which was annoying when the bigger point is the discussion.

Pretty much. Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth when there was so much focus on strategic voting and the like.

I trust penbeast0's judgment, I'm sure he'll come up with a good solution to this problem.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

This is Florida circa Gore/Bush, all over again. inb4 recount

To be fair though, people were asking to keep voting up longer before Baller 2014 chimed in.

It was always pretty obvious to me that he's a PBP (multiple-time PBP at that)...AnaheimRoyale, GilmoreFan, and a bunch of other user names.

I just hate being that guy that calls him out on it, because of course he'll deny it, and it just gets boring to constantly butt heads with the same person over and over again. So I try to let it go and just avoid him as much as I can...but good looks on other people calling him out on it.

Going to add Ray Ban Sematra and Clyde Frazier to our approved list for #3.

John 248 and andrewww both requested to post but neither have been active so they are still pending. I will revisit this in a couple of threads.

Join in with the discussion as Clyde and RayBan did and if you are making a positive contribution (and you always have), I will add you to the voting panel when I revisit the list.

I just got back in town from a business trip. I don't know who that person is nor can I see much similarity in our posts. As I said already, I read the old project extensively in order to help form my arguments, which is one reason I was so keen to join. I've certainly learnt from, and used, the arguments of others to help refine my own position. The Hakeem table for instance comes from a Wizards fans post I found while digging through the trove of old discussions. Please try to assume good faith in future.

Never. This is the internet. No one ever gives credit if they can get away with not doing so.

I don't credit the statisticians on basketball reference for using their stats, I'm not sure why I'd do anything different here. The ideas are my own, anyone using bballref can look them up.

Shout out to my grade 7 English teacher though. She taught me the coma.

Hey Penbeast, I'm hoping to be added to the official voter's list for the 4th slot, please review my contributions when you have the chance, thanks.

P.S. The 4th slot is where it really gets interesting tbh when you look at the MJ/KAJ/Russell top tier.

Oh, and Baller . . . "the coma?"

I would love to partake in this, but I don't feel quite knowledgeable about enough players to contribute as I could. Plus, I have certain situations to mend to over the next month, so the time dedicated to this will likely be sparse and sporadic at best. So I will likely sit this one out.

How long does the voting process will take with each player? I assume it will depend on the number of participants, and provocative the player is? Sorry if the answers seem obvious and I am over-thinking it
