Did it work? No.
And was it a play where 99 out of 100 coaches would have told the point to get to the rim and try to get an easy layup and get fouled if possible? Yes.
Why? Because its a high percentage shot with a high percentage chance of being fouled (as far as chances of being fouled goes).

Okay, then it was clearly the wrong decision and wrong play. Smith was an option on the play and Jennings unnecessarily took that option. Its really as simple as that. And btw, winning teams and leading PGs who have learned their lessons, you wont see make these mistakes... there is a reason for that.
Now, learn from your own mistakes and understand that it was a bad call by Jennings and it literally cost them the game. Which there is nothing wrong with, but it is what it is.

Right, so you have abandoned reason and logic, so we're done here.

Love this guy.. Entertaining and explosive like no other.

May actually be more athletic than D-Rose.

Favorite PG in the NBA, too bad he's playing for a Team I don't like.

Best PG?!

Another high TO game, but still efficent scoring. 28/7/5, 50 percent shooting and getting to the line. KD was better too, Thursday should be tough.

GOATBrook vs Irving will be fun. LeBron vs KD should be alright too lol.

Per Daily Thunder:

Westbrook now has 63 games of at least 25-5-5 since 2008. Next closest point guard in that span? Stephen Curry with 55. Chris Paul has 45. Only two players that have more than him: LeBron and KD.

Don't tell me he doesn't compare with CP3 and Curry.

Russell Westbrook is a bad man. 16pts (8/11) 4rbs 2as in the first half so far against Cleveland.

To me the best player on the court tonight. He's been comitting a lot of TOs early in games but cleaning it up later. KD's not quite right to me yet but is getting there, Russ is playing pretty darn well though. The Lamb/Morrow combo is gonna be really important going forward IMO, if they can shoot well, OKC will be really tough to stop. B2B with Minny tomorrow night.

For Cleveland, I was really impressed with Kyrie, thats the first I watched him a full game, and he's playing really really well. I wasn't as impressed with Love even if he's putting up numbers, I still just don't see the impact for some reason. It was a quiet 18 and 16 to me.

From Daily Thunder on the postgame interviews:

Westbrook was asked about how he’d describe his game. And he had a simple answer ready to go.

“Angry,” he said.

Can someone explain how his PER is 31.5? He's at 24.4, 6.5 and 5.5 on 48%, 37%, 79% with 0 blocks, 1.7 steals and 4.3 TO's in 28 minutes per game.

Maybe it's the minutes per game, cause that is pretty crazy. Otherwise those numbers don't jump as being historically great.

It is the minutes per game. Per 36 his stats are pretty much 88' Jordan lite.

PER is pretty stupid regarldess, though.

By no mean I'm an advanced stat expert and some might answer you better but from what I know/look :

The first thing of the per calculation is the number of minutes :) Then I think the thing with Westbrook is that OKC never had an incredible pace (they are 9/10th in the league and a peak at 6th in the Harden year and with the injuries this year they have been absolutely dreadful with 26th on 30) so in the part of calculation of "adjusting" PER where you take in count your team pace compared to league pace, it made him look very nice. That's the part for the calculation.

But dude his PER36 number (not that much inflated since he plays 30min/g before to night game) are absolutely at an historical level : 31pts (21FGA) / 8.4rbs / 6.8asts and 2.2stls. Anyone posting that on a winning team is a MVP candidate

As for Westbrook against the Cavs, what he made up for his TOV problem in the first QT he lost it in efficiency with 2/3 nice Westbrook type of layup/finishes that didn't go in. Thought he had a nice spell in the 2nd half where he was finding his partners. That was the first game I could watch from him this season and no matter what his "fixation pull up jumper" is still a joy to watch. Man I wish I would know what plank exercises he does

Just realized he's leading the league in BPM.

The only time someone had a +12BPM season was LeBron historical 2009 season. This number will go down by a bit. Anybody with a +10BPM season is basically an historical season from NO Paul, pre-championships Jordan, 08/09/13 James, 09 Wade etc... Pretty much those one man team.

Russell is in this position and he delivers, then KD will come to himself by time and all those nice numbers will go down but that's fun to watch "Westy the main man" while it lasts :)

Yup, this won't last but he's been incredible so far.

Quick Breakdown of 2015 OKC with SOS/HCA adjustments:

Season (22 G)

-0.87 SRS, -3.5 Offense, -2.5 Defense, -1.0 Net

------------------------------------------------------------

GOATbrook, Durant OUT (14 G)

-3.6 SRS, -6.4 Offense, -2.5 Defense, -3.8 Net

------------------------------------------------------------

GOATbrook IN (7 G)

+3.4 SRS, +2.3 Offense, -1.3 Defense, +3.6 Net

------------------------------------------------------------

GOATbrook, Durant IN (5 G)

+3.0 SRS, +2.0 Offense, -0.7 Defense, +2.6 Net

------------------------------------------------------------

Spoiler:
*I've removed Game 2 (GOATbrook's injury) entirely from the last 3 samples

**Last two sets obviously overlap

Durant's rounding into shape. I think they should be expected to be around 5-7 level once he's back to playing like he's used to (as well as playing his normal minutes). GOATbrook's GOAT production has been providing a lot of lift though.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I really, really wanna thank you for referring to him as GOATBrook throughout your entire post except the last two times. Hope you edit that out as well.
