With a team like the Raptors, I dont think Calderon will takes us far as a starter like TJ can. He can create for himself, and even though Calderon makes better decisions TJ is still better at creating for his teammates. Calderons a good player I hope he stays on the Raptors, and no doubt is a top 10 PG but I do feel TJ is the better player. And whats all this talk with Calderon being an All-Star hes not worthy if being selected. He can beat up on bad to average teams but against the real good ones he dissapears and while our team strugles he cannot take the load on his shoulders. IMO

Bibby is what he is, a scorer, his assists have gone down the last few seasons, he didn't even crack 5 last year. I don't know how he's going to bounce back now that he's returned, but I don't see how you can take him over Calderon at this point, who's a true quarterback that can run your offense just as good as any other point in the league. Plus he's a more efficient shooter, too!

Hinrich is living off rep, period. I don't know how anyone can take him over Calderon right now. Not even Bulls fans.

I don't think Ford deserves to be that high right now, not until he can come back and get his game back to where it was early in the season.

24 points on 8-10 shooting, 3-4 from downtown, 5-5 from the line, 13 assists, 3 steals, 2 boards. Now he did also turn the ball over 4 times on 13 assists, but nonetheless, another great game for him. Oh yeah, he also scored the game winning 3 point play in a win against the Celtics in Boston.

No he doesn't, all the East coaches get a vote for the reserves including Rivers.

I'm pretty sure they were just saying he should have Calderon on his reserves list..

Jose is amazing, and just keeps improving..like I said earlier in this thread..it's **** stupid for anyone to have some of these players ahead of Calderon..the guy is a baller..

Offensively you could make a case for him being in the top 10...but his lack of defense hurts.

I don't think I'd personally put him in my top 10, but I'd have to sit down and really take a look at the list. If he is top 10 that's kinda an indictment on how poor the position is. And I don't mean that as some big slight on the guy, but I don't feel he should be the starter on an elite team.

Fisher might not be as good, but for some reason I'd have more confidence in him as my pg than Calderon if we're talking about the post-season. Maybe that's a bit unfair and lacks any sort of good rationale...but it is what it is. :dontknow:

Sure hes not a good defender but Nash is just as bad. Yet he was the mvp twice in a row and second last year.

He could easily be a starter on a championship team.

I'd put him in my top-10 list too. However, all this "you'd have to be stupid to not pick him in your top 10" is annoying. If you count Iverson** the #10 spot comes down to Calderon and Mo Williams (IMO). I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon and say that Calderon is better, but given that the difference between the two isn't that big, and Calderon hasn't been playing at this level for very long, taking the other side is perfectly reasonable.

**I think he should be counted. AI is one of the 10 best at playing the PG position in the NBA. I'm not sure why the fact that he is actually a little better at SG changes that. He can be top-10 on both lists, just like Pierce and T-Mac are top-10 at both the SG and SF positions.

1st in assist rate ahead of Nash out of all PG's.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... onType%3d2

2nd in FG% out of PG's.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... onType%3d2

3rd in ft% in PG's, behind 2 PG's that don't have many fta this year.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... onType%3d2

3rd in least TO's out of PG's.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... onType%3d2

5th in PER out of PG's.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinge ... onType%3d2

and shooting .435% from 3 this year.

He's not a good defender, but personally given his offense I find it hard to leave him out of the top 10 this year.

He's easily top 10. I don't see why people say Fisher, Felton, Nelson, etc are better. But these guys are better for sure (in no order)
Baron
CP3
Nash
Kidd
Parker
Deron
Chauncey
Then 8 is Calderon, TJ is also around 10. BTW, are the Raps the first team to have two top 10 PGS?

As pure PG is Top 5 at least... as NBA PG (that's different) he's easily Top 10.
