Superior talent..?

I really think he has all-star potential Randolph does, but so does Beasley. And if I had to pick between the two to become a star sooner, Beasley is going to break out a lot sooner then you think. Are you absentminded about Beasley's crazy talent? The guy is a great athlete with some serious skills. And I'm one that also believes Beasley coming off the bench last year for Miami somewhat restricted his game. He's a legit starter who can score. I predict 18+ PPG easily from Beasley this upcoming season. It may take Randolph several years to get there if ever.

So Warriors fans are crazy for claiming a 19-20 year old has grown a inch? 5+ sources, including Randolph himself have said this yet we are crazy for believing it? WOW.

The best part is where I said Beasley was 6'7 without shoes, before the info about Randolph growing an inch came out, Miami fans explained to me that Beasley was still young and that he could grow. Now that Randolph has, we are all insane.

If Warriors fans were such homers they would be pimping every young player. They call Brandon Wright BranGina, they couldn't care less about Stephen Curry and Azubuike/C.J. Watson are considered poison. Warriors fans are not homers, they are usually quite down on the team.

Also, I went through the thread and not a single poster called Randolph a HOF or an All-Star. I know people have called him that, but half jokingly of course, and it was after Lamar Odom called him a future all star and a potential HOF.

I remember in the first Randolph vs Beasley thread most Warriors fans wouldn't even say Randolph was the better player, just that he has the higher ceiling. But of course people get offended, take one persons quote and generalize it and than freak out because they have nothing to add to an argument.

Anthony Randolph was 6'9 197 at this time last year. He's 7' 222 now.

How many times did your mother drop you on your head? Do we have to go through this for the thousandth time? REALLY?

6'9 without shoes, 6'10.25 with shoes. By NBA standards that's 6'11.

He, along with multiple other sources have said that he has grown an in. That's 6'10 without shoes, 6'11.25 with shoes and 7 feet by NBA standards.

He weighed in 197 in the Chicago pre-draft camp. He put on weight after that and played the season at over 200 pounds. He grew an inch, put on a couple more pounds and is now 222.

In 16 months a 19/20 year old grew an inch and put on 25 pounds. Yeah, we are all crazy to think that someone who has dedicated there life to there body could possible add 1-2 pounds a month while they are still growing. THAT'S JUST CRAZY TALK.

1. Amare came straight out of HS, which makes evaluation more difficult, Randolph had a whole year in college to prove himself and was distinctly average.

2. Amare was the 9th pick

3. I've heard stories about Anthony Randolph being borderline (Please Use More Appropriate Word), strange to put so much faith in a (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Adam Morrison>>> Brandon Roy

Shelden Williams>>>Paul Millsap

Marvin Williams>>> Chris Paul

Martell Webster>>> Danny Granger

Rafael Araujo>>> Andris Biedrins

Mike Sweetney>>>> David West

I totally agree with your theory. I mean, John Stockton was picked with the 16th pick over all, so Randolph>>> Stockton... right?

I'm a Niners fan and we picked Alex Smith with the first pick over Aaron Rogers.... To this day I believe Alex Smith>>> Aaron Rogers.

So when Randolph is 6'10.25 in shoes he gets rounded up to 6'11. Yet they continue to call Beasley 6'7 when he's 6'8.25 in shoes; and by their standards should be considered 6'9.

Am I right or do you only use that logic for Randolph?

It's that logic for just about every NBA player. Look at the pre-draft measurements in shoes and what the NBA says, they are all rounded up.

People say 6'7 when they are trying to be insulting

You're getting boring now, those guys had all performed in college or europe, whereas to date Anthony Randolph hasn't shown anything remotely consistent. So to adjudge that he's 'far more talented' then the number two pick is just ridiculous.

I also forgot to mention that Beasley outperformed Randolph on all the physical tests also.

6'10.25 is not 6'11 by NBA standards, maybe in Warrior land or some other place where everyone gets massively overrated.

The extra inch or so added to players height is because of shoes, you don't take the shoe'd measurement then add another .75 to it.

If that's the case, maybe he is 7', but then Shaq is like 7'3, Garnett is like 7'2, Kevin Durant is also 7', Dwight Howard is 7', Beasley is 6'10, etc...

If that's how you guys want to measure, by taking the height in shoes, and then rounding up almost a whole inch, than ok, Randolph is 6'11, but a lot of guys are and it isn't even special.

It's stupid to even use the shoe measurement, because guys show up to the camp in padded shoes that they most likely would never ball in adding 1-2 inches. Take the shoeless height, go from there.

Randolph was 6'9 in socks, that's the only concrete measurement we have.

After that, we have reports of growth, like we hear about EVERY young player every single year, yet rarely do they grow, excuse our skepticism.

I have 1 thing to say.

Imagine Randolph is getting hyped up this much for what he has done so far and pure speculations.

Imagine if Beasley was drafted for Warriors instead. Wow, I can't even imagine what warriors fans would do coz Beasley has easily been better so far. They would be calling Beas a surefire HOFer and would call everyone crazy including Heat fans for pumping up Randolph's value (if Heat drafted Randolph instead).

Wow, yea, I'm done, you guys are **** hopeless.

And Garnett, I knew there was one other player I was leaving out. I never said Randolph has paid his dues, but the insane competitive streak is there.

Based on watching him play and seeing him look like he wanted to strangle babies all day long. I have watched a lot of basketball (as have most people here), and his type of intensity is rare.
