What even is this nonsense? KD isn't the GM, and what, he should be telling buyout players to stay away from his team?

People should have been having these silly overreactions when they traded for Harden, not because of LaMarcus Aldridge.

We all know Durant's recruiting all these guys, we weren't born yesterday. Like I said in the LeBron thread, Durant needs an all-star roster on paper because he has zero confidence in his own abilities and zero competitive drive.

For the record, I'll be shocked if LMA makes any major impact. Most of these buyout guys don't. It's more just telling of how weak Durant truly is that he needs to stack the roster with nothing but household names.

If he knows Aldridge is over the hill and only an all-star "on paper" why would that increase his confidence? The psychological analysis of these guys none of us have ever met or spoken to is so silly sometimes.

Most years in the NBA, there is no one with a PlayVal of 2 (Playmaking value, an estimate of a player’s points per 100 impact from playmaking only). This year:

Nikola Jokic-2.6 (2nd all-time)
Harden-2.6 (2nd all-time)
Trae-2.4 (4th all-time)
Luka-2.4 (4th all-time)
Lillard-2.2

And Lebron and CP3 are on the fringes at 1.9.Offense is EXPLODING like no other year ever in NBA History. 8 of the top 10 greatest offenses ever are playing right now. This is probably the GOAT season for all-around offense.

Do we think this is an empty stadiums thing? An accumulation of trends from the past decade? A function of the type of talent in the league today?

Just wanted to mention it, and don't mean to change the direction of discussion but thought of it and figured I'd mention, if anyone's not listening I'd really recommend the Dunkers Spot (Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones Jr.'s podcast). It hasn't been around long, but its really good and I've enjoyed it increasingly more of late. Released Monday, usually about 2 hrs a shot. But really good and quickly grew on me.

A little bit of everything: empty stadiums, spacing peaking, teams fully embracing analytics, good offense talent, and also the way the game is reffed (many 3 point shooting fouls and people jumping into a defender to draw fouls).

Just when you thought you'd heard it all...

The point about there being barriers to entry into sports management is totally valid, and then the leap he takes is just :-o

It's racist to think black people can't and don't understand analytics.

Kevin Durant vs Michael Rapaport in Instagram DMs (click the right arrow to see all the photos)

KD might be more aggressive attacking the Instagram DMs than he is on the court.

Nothing serious was ever gonna happen lol. If those tweets were real, it simply just seems like KD and Mike were harmlessly taking jabs at each other.

So many snowflakes on Reddit and RealGM keep blowing this out of proportion. Y'all never talked **** on social media before?

Hey, at least KD did all that talking on his main account instead of a burner account. Progress!

There is nothing wrong with using an anonymous account.

Everyone on here is using an anonymous account.

Don't be a hypocrite.

That is a great response from Westbrook.

Say what you want about his game, but he's a great guy by all accounts.

It's pretty sad to see how insecure KD is and I mean that genuinely. The guy should really get some help because there's no reason someone with his accomplishments and standing should care SO much about what other people think and feel the need to respond to what seems like every one of them in depth.

And Rapaport is really pathetic for posting the DMs to social media.
