I think people underrate the fact that social media as a product drives stuff like this. I mean even the richest man in the world talks **** to his critics on social media. Think it has a lot less to do with the individual circumstances and more with the nature of the platforms.

In regards to this KD dispute, one thing I hope we hold athletes to a higher standard is the ugly homphobia in locker rooms and around athletes. Like why do we have to insult someone by insinuating that they perform fellatio. How does that make them a lesser person? This trash talk has no place anywhere. This shouldn't be just ''locker room talk"

As a member of the LGBTQ community I certainly have felt ostracized in sports and locker rooms sometimes due to the blatant homphobia of other athletes used as an insult to make me feel like a lesser person. I wish this issue would be brought to light more.

Adults can talk **** on social media for **** and giggles.

It's not something that you have to take seriously. Lighten up.

However, you do you.

KD didn't say anything homophobic.

No need to overreact.

This is the last I will address this before going too off topic, but using fellatio as a way to bring someone down, or saying something of the manner of "that's gay" , or trying to insinuate that any homosexual act is a negative is in fact homophobic. It hurts people still trying to accept themselves for who they are and creates an opportunity for self hate.

Take me for example, growing up hearing those things really hurt, and lead to me not being to accept myself for who I was for years. Especially since I was around athletes and locker rooms a lot in my experience. The negative connotations with those comments hurt LGBTQ+ youth and make it harder for them to be open about themselves because what they are and what they quite frankly like to do, is used as an insult to demean someone.

There is nothing wrong with using an anonymous account.

Everyone on here is using an anonymous account.

Don't be a hypocrite.

I don't usually comment on social media drama but what Durant did is more like a RealGM user making alts and posting in support of their main account while pretending to be different users. That behavior is frowned upon on every online forum and probably even bannable. If KD wasn't an all time great player, literally nobody would defend his use of burners (see Colangelo for example).

Hadn't commented, had posted/deleted a few times but I'd seen some people say it might have been like an inside joke to promote something, but it's a bad look and a way I've never talked to people. And no, I've also never gone at someone like that on social media, it's entirely unnecessary and childish. He's in his 30s (I'm not much older than him).

And yeah thinking about it, its a part of locker room culture in spots that is homophobic and has always been inappropriate. It's a bad look for Durant and to top it off he's not only being insensitive but doing so in that light. So its inappropriate either way and assuming its real he's doing what he's done a bunch of times already.

And thanks to you for speaking up on it. Like I said, haven't spoken like that to people but seeing how it effects someone really brings it to light and while I've always thought locker room talk to be generally offensive and derogatory, its not often thought about further or spoken about and I admittedly didn't even think it that far when I first read it. Just knew immediately it was childish, but hadn't thought further about those who it effects personally and seeing someone speak up on it is cool.

In general, just be good to people, and handle criticism better, but in this case the words used are words that do effect people and that sucks. But all that to say props for speaking up.

The Thunder are incapable of tanking. I’ve never seen a team be so bad at being bad.

Okc coach should get Coach of the year votes. He might be among the best coaches in a few seasons

Okc didnt have Sga, Bazley, Dort, Horford, Muscala and Poku

Raptors were only missing Lowry and they had some insane 16-0 streak without Lowry recently or something like that

Hes most likely the best coach in Okc history already....

I don't really get Toronto either right now. Never thought they'd be tied with Washington. And to a lesser extent Boston having their record.

Possibility of a Lakers/Clippers 4/5 matchup just hit me.

Id rather not :D i rather fall 7th seed before that series starts for first round. I’m not worried nuggets will be 3rd seed by the end of the month. Probably finish 2nd .

I mean, duh, they've got the worst starting lineup (of the contending teams) by quite a margin.

By the way, how the hell are the Hornets #4 on the East with such a terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible starting lineup? I mean, I've kind of answered my own question, but... how?
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.
