Scratching my head at this

10.7m a year for THT???

Might be worth 6-7m rn

And then letting AC walk for less

Still missing 2-3 roles

Wing defender who can play crunch time
Backup pg (unless we think THT and Monk is enough)
A defensive guard who can replace what kcp and AC gave us

Caruso was cheaper and played 3 times the minutes last playoffs.

Yeah but maybe THT will be better now. This is what the lakers expect,so we will see.

I don't think Nunn is bad at all. Also probably kills any talk of Dennis coming back on a cheap deal to play off the bench.

The guard defense is still iffy, but Rob has done a decent job getting value guys with the limited cap he had to work with.

I like the Monk signing. The same people hating on it probably hated KCP when he came over to the Lakers and now he's beloved. He's young and never been on a good team before, give him a chance. KCP was a career .333 shooter in Detroit too

MLE to Nunn?

Nunn is a solid 6th man signing. Rob redeemed himself a bit with Monk and Nunn in the end.

So unless Schröder nets something in return:

Davis - Gasol - Howard
LeBron - Ariza - Melo
THT - Bazemore
Monk - Ellington
Westbrook - Nunn

I really hope a Schröder S&T nets us a starting wing now.

Nunn is an awesome back up wtf

I think he’s fine as a backup guard...but look at the roster

Say Russ and Bazemore start

Guard depth is Nunn, Monk, Wayne and THT

None are good overall defenders

THT is good on ball, bad off

We couldn’t have just paid AC 4 more M instead of Nunn?

None of these guys are playing crunch time

Batum, OPJ, Gay, AC are guys u can play in important finals moments

Assuming DG is getting more from Phi

So not counting the 2 way guys, Lakers have 12 players on roster. Dudley is definitely coming back. Haven't heard anything on Wes or Kieff. Both would be nice to have, although Wes's playing time may be squeezed again.

You can always trade THT for Caruso in February when the Bulls are out of the playoff picture.

2 hours ago, many said the team were too old but now they have signed 3 players in a row at 26 years old or younger, the complaints continue!

I mean c'mon this is so funny! ... I know losing Caruso is not ideal but at the same time you can't have everything, especially when we can only sign player at the minimun salary!

THT got 32 mil? What an absolute **** joke. What the **** has this guy done besides go off in a couple of preseason games???? His only skills are handling the ball and finishing with his right hand. Like seriously, they paid this guy over a proven winning role player in Caruso? And killed a trade for Lowry for him?

Pelinka might actually be the worst GM in NBA history all things considered. He was given a simple job: surround LeBron and AD with guys who can hit 3s. Instead he puts the worst shooting cast around them in the league 3 years in a row and then builds a retirement home full of liabilities and gets rid of their good role players the 4th year.

We took a hit on defense but I like the scoring punch this roster has now

I don’t think that will be the alignment. I don’t think the Lakers are going to go from one of the biggest teams in the league, to a rat ball squad:

Westbrook 6’3”
Monk 6’3”
THT 6’4”
James 6’8”
Davis 6’10”

Nope.

if twitter existed in the past people would be angry over Robert Parish in the bulls as unfair lol

Lakers finally have shooters around LeBron and AD. They've played 2 big lineups before, so Russ/AD can function similar as long as AD plays the 5. Have the rest of the rotation be shooters and let LeBron and Russ cook at the rim. Not a bad strategy, as long as Vogel gets his head out of his ass and cooks up some decent offensive sets.

Sometimes you get paid by what the team thinks the player will play in the next few years.

Didn’t see the Nunn signing. Good pickup. Rip Schroeder I guess. Really wonder wtf happens with him now.

THT one is interesting. Caruso money basically. Not too surprising it was pretty obvious Lakers really liked him, hopefully he develops.

Guess my hope of a Denny green signing is dead? Caruso tpe maybe?
