This is clearly a shot at Ham. Whether you think Ham is competent or not, it seems LeBron has had enough

Ham is cooked.

There was an insider report already.
Now LeBron makes a comment.

These losses make it seem like he's losing the faith from the locker room.

Going to be another in the chamber for “coach killer Lebron”. Excited to see the gaslighting in future years over how little chance Ham was given to thrive the way he so obviously would have with a less ornery star.

Oof, a statement like that is basically like the videotape from The Ring. Ham’s days are numbered.

FWIW thought he did a great job from February-May last year and honestly outcoached Kerr in a playoff series which is hard to do. Haven’t been following LA as closely this year but whenever I watch they seem disjointed and ugly on offense.

He did seem to be learning in the Warriors series but he regressed badly after that. Bizarre.

The issue is who is available....we keep coming back to this

Bud is literally a similar version to Ham

Mike Dantoni would be a guy I like

Nick Nurse would have been a dream

The more I think about it, the Lakers overachieved in the ‘23 playoff run.

- injured Timberwolves punching each other during games+Ant’s worst game of his entire career

- injured Memphis with Adams/Clarke out, Ja’s hand an issue. and no consistent spacing
- discombobulated Warriors with Poole and Klay playing like Beavus and Butthead and AWOL Wiggins

-Rui shooting career best 50%+ from 3 and Lonnie Walker turning into Kobe for a crucial quarter

I think they had favorable matchups in those opening 2 rounds and rode their size and some hot shooting to wins. But that’s about their ceiling as currently constructed.

They did just enough to get themselves through those series but that won’t be enough this year.

Lebron's dream of half assing it throw the regular season will not materialise. Not with this roster

Well yes its year 21 lol

Still, come playoff time, most of us rather have Lebron than a lot of these younger guys who are more regular season guys (for now)

Realistically Bron should hope his kid gets drafted to a a very solid team or current contender and hop on for another 1-2 rings

This roster isn’t ideal but they should not be 15-13.

They kinda should tho. They have one of the worst guard rotation in the league, their wing guys either can't shoot or defend and their backup Cs are both negative players. When Lebron and AD are decisive and aggresive it doesn't matter, but they do not play with this kind of urgency most of the time

Considering Ham is Bud-lite, do you really think dropping him for Bud is the right move? I'm not convinced at all.

If you could keep Ham and add Bud it could work.

Neither are ideal though..

Dave Joerger is available, currently consulting for the Cavs. Any interest there? He coached the heck out of the Grit & Grind Grizz, and this team really needs to hone in on D as their identity to have a chance I think? Perhaps he then brings in Stotts as an AC to help really rev the offense?

Any thoughts on this?

This front office has made too many idiotic decisions in a circumstance where they already started with very few avenues to rectify them. I have as little faith in DLo as everyone else, but he's only on the team because they were desperately trying to salvage one of the dumbest trades in recent memory. Limited guys like Reddish and Prince are playing major roles in large part because these dimwits let Caruso walk and traded KCP in the Russ deal. You just can't afford that kind of tomfoolery when your best players are old and/or injury-prone and you've already traded away your entire draft and almost all of your young talent.

^^THIS^^ And there are people out there "feeling" Pelinka has done a decent job? I just don't understand it. Again, yes would love another championship for Lebron, but this all seems like gravy to me. This guy is still this good at this age and mileage. Just enjoying the journey this year.

I guess it looks decent when you compare it to the trainwreck(s) that preceded it.

Who on earth thinks Pelinka has done a decent job? I think he's pretty inarguably the worst GM in the league and in recent memory as well.
