;t=9934s

I've been watching some of these highlights the last few days, and my god it's insane how quick and explosive he was back then. He was slithery enough to get to the rim with high frequency even with multiple bodies being in the paint on most possessions.

His game was a lot different back then, he was second only to Kobe in the amount of difficult jumpshots he was taking and making, but these days he's almost entirely eliminated those pullup long 2s that was used to be such a big part of his game. In 2010, 26% of his shots were 2s outside of 16 feet compared to just 7% last season. He also hadn't developed his stepback three going left at this point that he spams so often now.

I'll say it again, it's a damn shame some alleged basketball fans spend their time hating on this guy for non-basketball related stuff and are missing the greatest career ever. To be still a top 10 to 15 player, especially as a wing, in this league at age 39 is simply crazy.

It's wild, man.

I've been a James fan since he hit our radar at SVSM and it blows my mind that he's STILL in the league. I was, like, joining RealGM when he was a rookie with the Cavs. There isn't another player in league history who has aged this well. And for all anyone might say about the offensive inflation of this era, no one in league history has ever been close. Not even a little bit.

There are 86 player-seasons of dudes being 39+ in league history. 14 of them have managed 10+ ppg. Lebron, Jordan and Malone are the only ones to manage 20+. Jordan was a disaster. Malone was still pretty good.

That's it. No one else comes anywhere close. And Lebron's still also doing his playmaking thing, rebounding, etc. And he's KILLING it offensively relative to his peers, too, that's the thing. Malone was like +1.5% rTS, which is pretty good for a guy smashing long twos on 3 of every 7 shots, of course, but Lebron just popped a +5% rTS scoring season. At 39, on almost 26 ppg.

That's absurd.

And another note, since I just posted about it on the GB. He's first on the Olympic team (in the exhibition games) in PPG. 1st in assists, 4th in rebounds. Shooting nearly 61 FG% and over 46% 3P. He's a monster.

Nah, no one takes exhibitions seriously. He’s just statpadding as usual and taking it way more seriously than anyone else because he heard Tatum should have started instead and other players called him old. Wait till the real games. He sucks.

You guys think Vando can start at SG if we were to trade for Cam Johnson or Jerami Grant?

I wonder if we can get Tyus Jones for the smaller mle. Would be a nice plan to have in case we actually move Dlo

WTF IS PIECE OF **** PELINKA DOING????

If we are looking to move Dlo then Jones would have been necessary (if not upgrading at the guard spot)

So now we need to keep Dlo or get an upgrade with a guy like CJ, Lavine, or a star guard

Yeah it seemed obvious.
DLo+Vincent+Hayes+FRP for CamJ+Sharpe.
Tyus and Lonnie with salary saving.

Now I'm just lost on what they do.

Same. Could have had a team of

Reaves, Christie/Vando, CamJ, Bron, AD
Jones, Christie/Vando, Knecht, Rui, Sharpe
Wood also playable

Now it feels like it we will have to move Rui to get an upgrade at the wing spot and a backup C of course.

Keeps coming back to Grant or Cam Johnson basically

Rui+Vincent+Reddish+2029 1st with limited protections and a couple 2nds/a swap for Grant

And then use JHS and some 2nds/swap for a backup C or can add JHS and ask for Reath back

Reaves, Christie, Grant, Bron, AD
Dlo, Knecht, Vando, Wood, Reath

Really hope there is some sort of deal or deals that we aren't seeing

LeOlympics looking spry out there.

As much as I love watching Bron still ball out, it’s nice to be able to root for Steph and KD. I’m really not used to it at all. I kinda wish I could do it more often but I know that won’t be the case.

For now though watching those 3 LEGENDS play together for USA makes me weirdly emotional because I know there isn’t much time left and they’re all amazing but also good people. They’re great representatives for USA and I kinda wish I was able to appreciate them more during all these years.

I would love Lakers to trade for Landale, should be pretty cheap.

Also Rockets don't really have space for Eason either. What other Rockets players would be of interest?
