Re: The Lebron Thread (2015-16 Pt. 3)
I expect the game to be called pretty tight tonight, which should benefit the Cavs. LeBron will be seeing Bogut (who's been a negative this series, I believe. Maybe RSCD3_ can help me out on that) on the help in the paint rather than Draymond, which makes a huge difference. Iggy probably starts, which isn't good obviously. But LeBron still has managed to get in the paint quite often with Iggy on him, it's mostly been Draymond's who's been messing up his finishing. Hopefully, he can get some shots up at the rim early and maybe get Iggy into foul trouble.

Re: The Lebron Thread (2015-16 Pt. 3)
Even though the extra days may help the cavs, I cannot stand this schedule. Just brutal. I hate that they switched from the tue/thu/sun format that it has been for many years now. All this extra off time is annoying as hell. Can't stand that the NBA just went dark for an entire weekend with an active NBA finals series going on. Can't ever recall that happening to my memory. On the other hand though I want this season to last as long as possible. I'm only a fan of 2 sports (NBA/NFL) so once this series is over there is not a damn thing going on in sports that interests me until September. At least there is Olympic basketball this year though

NBA Draft/ Free Agency is usually pretty interesting so through July 10th or you are good.
Then it gets tough lol. Olympics is actually pretty good for summer viewing this year vs. most years. Swimming, Gymnastics, Track and Field are all interesting along with basketball.
I find Volleyball and Weightlifting also interesting to watch. Diving too.
Basically **** that seems impossible for me to do haha. Weightlifting is interesting to me just because as a gym goer who's into powerlifting the olympic weightlifters are freaks of nature. Almost inhumanly strong.

Speaking personally, the draft doesn't do it much for me... I'm a New Yorker, and generally speaking college sports is absolutely irrelevant here, as of this moment I can't name 5 guys in this draft. So these guys are just names to me, and time will tell. Free agency is fun for about a week, but outside of Durant this isn't the sexiest class, and he probably stays. The olympics is something I watch casually. Even with the lack of viewing options though, I'm not exactly complaining all that much. I enjoy my summers. Weather here in the northeast isn't the best for most of the year as we know, we get this little window here for a few months where it's really nice

Being from Toronto we have a similar story just a few degrees cooler. Baseball games are fun to get out to every now and then during the summer but otherwise it's nice to enjoy the weather.

Trying not to look too far ahead but I really hope that Bron skips the Olympics, rests his body while working on his jumper. That's the only way for the Cavs to win a title in the window they have. Oh, and they are going to need to trade Love for pieces because Bron shouldn't the play the 3 even if he can somehow get his jumper back. Imagine how devastating a LeBron with a jumper at the 4 can be.

I know he's not playing tonight but warriors are +54 with green at the centre do you think it would or would've been worth running some lineups with bron at the centre to try counter it?

I still think the Warriors win tonight, but damn, a win for the Cavs would be nice after all the crying coming from Golden State the last few days.
I'm expecting the Warriors to be extremely motivated because of the Green suspension, the crowd is going to be crazy, and I have zero faith in Kyrie playing under control in this situation. Their best hope is that the Warriors miss makeable shots and that the Cavs shooters get hot. Lebron rediscovering his jumper would be huge, but I don't think that's particularly realistic.

Agreed with all this but gotta remember he's not gonna want to play PF all season and especially not guard them all season so we need someone that can fill that role.
I can't remember exactly now but I think the Jazz offered a package of favours and more for wiggins.....should have taken it....

They did run LeBron at centre (third quarter game 2, I believe it was) and it got run off the floor.

Yeah they need someone willing to guard the bigger 4s while LeBron can play the 4 on offense. But this is also on LeBron now. He has to play at the 4, no excuses. If need be ask the coach to lower his minutes, get him out of back to backs, 4 in 5 etc.
It's weird to say this for an already top 7-8 guy, but he needs to re-define his 2nd half of the career in the middle of his late prime/gradual decline. For all of his BBIQ he wanted to play the 3 after coming back from Miami. He needs to be better against GSW for the next few years. If you are gonna lose, lose but you can't go out like this looking this over-matched and helpless offensively as a a payer.

Right but that was a desperation thing. How many times did LeBron play the 5 during the RS to get the game reps in? This is what Amin from ESPN said....the Warriors have been playing supersmall for 2 years now. Cavs did that on the road in the Finals against GSW. They need to use that more during the RS with LeBron.

A trade for Paul Milsap and Chris Paul would be perfect for the Cavs. Milsap in particular would bring them into the modern age of basketball. Too bad Milsap isn't a sexy name so I doubt LeBron even considers it. If they trade Love for Melo, I'm not even gonna watch the next season.

Game 2 was a disaster though even our successful small ball lineup from game 3 got murdered.
If we somehow win tonight lues gotta hurt loves feelings and let him nowhere near the court when greens in

If Kerr really wants to put this to bed tonight and quits being cute, he probably starts Curry-Klay-Livingston-Barnes-Iggy and blows out the Cavs in the first quarter.

That's too small. I think you just play smallball with Bogut/Ezuli and 4 smalls. You still need rim protection and help defense with Green out. Bogut/Ezuli + 4 smalls is perfect.

Those two would be perfect and the defense would be great but milsaps 3 pt shot would be a concern given how lebron likes to play.
I don't want Melo either but he'd be ok. I'd trust him to perform in pressure situations a lot more than love. He could regain some form on a good team.
No logic I'm Knicks trading Melo for love though. love ain't taking them anywhere might as well trade him for picks and prospects. I guess a 3 way with Boston is possible

I bet Lebron James "mysteriously" gets into early foul trouble this game.
I doubt they appreciate him forcing their hand on this matter, and I suspect there will be some back door justice/ injustice at play.
I expect this game to be all but over (In GSW's favor) by mid 2nd quarter.
Don't believe the hype...

I don't know why you'd blame LeBron for it when Cleveland acquiring both of those players is probably impossible to begin with. They don't have anything Doc Rivers would give up Chris Paul for.
