Arabia will destroy both Poland and Mexico of they don't show any signs of improvement. This was a matchup of two underwhelming teams, definitely the worst I have seen in the tournament so far.

TBF, most people shouldn't have kids at any age because they're such gongshows of human beings, so the age at which it happens is almost irrelevant.

I disagree there should be some test of worthiness to procreate. By any real standard everyone falls short and the human race then ends within the next 120 years. And while I agree that more people should consider adoption, if nobody procreates then that ceases to be an option.

I'd never make tsherkin's approval list in a million years, but there are 4 incredible human beings who exist because I sired them despite being largely a gong show. I also know a bunch of really incredible people with **** parents.

I agree, that was very surprising take. In fact, such opinions are very dangerous in modern times. I am a young man and most people at my age don't even think about children.

I also don't think there should be a test for kids--that isn't anything I would support for instituting or insinuate.

I'm not sure what your own anecdote of your production of kids has to do with adoption. You could have just as easily adopted and had 4 incredible human beings as well AND there would be 4 less people suffering in the world.

edit: All I am saying is adoption should be something better taught and explained to people as it seems most people don't realize the impact of adopting can have on peoples lives.

In fact, you would think the same people who are anti-abortion would be the same people who are pro-adoption, but we know those people don't actually "care" about the life of others and instead are too ingrained in their own, backwards and counter-intuitive belief system.

I think you misunderstood my criteria/point, tbh.

Parents are human, and thus are flawed. That's fine. People don't always have everything together, don't always do it right, and that's okay.

My criteria for parenthood is committment and effort to not be a bag of hammers who should be keel-hauled instead of left in charge of a rock, let alone another human. Do your best, put food on the table, try to impart basic morals, be there when they need you and that's fine. But that is not a set of common qualities.

The motivation behind becoming a parent, or a foster parent, matters and is very hard to assess. Same same the follow-through.

I don't know anything about you off forum, Chuck, so my commentary is more on the deadbeats and abusers and what have you that I have run into. People can barely be trusted to drive, so the lifetime involvement in another person is a biiig deal. I'm glad you take your parenthood seriously, and that makes you someone I respect very highly because I 100% couldn't do it.
