I agree but I also have KAJ and Russell as 1c and 1d because I think all of them have a very valid goat argument. I will probably bump LeBron up to 1a with one more ring.

1a isnt supposed to be better than 1b tho lol

I can see that but I also think it can be used to show how close they are.

They'll probably invent some sort of Societal Awareness award and name it after Lebron.

This may sound like a bunch of fairy tale nonsense to some, and maybe it is, so feel free to tell me if I’m wrong and reading things that aren’t there..... Or maybe you have the same thought I have and can simply express it better than me. But I firmly believe modern day Lebron has figured out a way to impose his will on the game mentally in a way that prior versions of him did not. There is just a certain vibe oozing out of him that screams total killer and fully in control. It just feels like he is mentally in a different stratosphere now. I don’t know how to express this or give examples other than my subjective reading of his body language

No I feel it too

I wasn't alive/too young when MJ was in his prime, but I think this is what people meant when someone has that "aura" around him

I felt it during/after he won the 2016 finals. Might have started at game 5

In 2018 it felt even greater, it felt like he was playing on a different level

He is so mentally strong and I always trust that he will show up and now cheat us when it matters (the playoffs)

Man if we add another big piece or two...

Barring injury I think they retool a bit and repeat.

I don’t really see anyone other than the Nuggets and or maybe the Clippers, who still are without an identity, who can legit give them problems.

I think they take anyone on from the East, besting AD and old man Bron 4 out of 7 will take extreme talent and luck too, there I see the Nets and maybe Boston and of course the Heat as posing some problems, but still not confident in any of them.

During the season there will be chatter that LeBron has lost another step but it won’t matter come playoffs, he’s just too good.

For me, the only weakness of the lakers in 2020 was the 3 points shooting

If they improve that without making our defense worse, the lakers are going to have a good chance of winning back to back title!

It looks like he can still be elite for multiple years. I’m just hoping he can maximize this window because it’s still tenuous with his age and mileage no matter how amazing he still looks now.

They are the definite favorites entering next year at least with the info we have at our disposal right now. I don’t think they are one of the biggest favorites we’ve seen though. I’d still take the field even though I’d like the Lakers odds over any individual team. Lebrons age and Anthony Davis general affinity for injury scares will always be something that will linger in my mind though.

In Lebrons last 3 finals appearances he has shot 50% or better from the floor in 13 of 15 games played, and he was just one make away in both the games he failed to shoot 50% (9/20 and 13/28).

Man I reeeeeeeally wish they had signed Seth Curry. He's literally perfect for the modern NBA and for this team in terms of having a creator who can playmake a little but more importantly just (efficiently) shoot the lights out and catch fire. I think the reason they didn't get him was because the Lakers were taking too long waiting for Kawhi, so Dallas snagged him? In hindsight, I don't even know why the Lakers did that. Kawhi never seemed keen on joining LeBron, not to mention that stacking the odds THAT MUCH in his favor was never going to be good for LeBron, who's very aware of his legacy and the narratives that would surround such a move.

But oh well, Kawhi is now sitting at home watching on his couch as his team spends millions on billboards and slogans and his trainer makes himself look like an idiot on social media. Alls well that ends well. :D

Seriously thank God Kawhi didn't join. That would've been terrible for LeBron's legacy. It'll be even better if they get to smoke the Flippers next year.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Projected KD and Curry right after Harden probably. You could talk me into ahead of him as well.

Crazy talent in the league right now.

LeBron has over 1,500 more playoff points than Michael Jordan. That’s bigger than the gap between Jordan and Julius Erving, who is in 8th place.

The gap between LeBron and Jordan in playoff win shares is bigger than the gap between Jordan and 12th place.

The gap between LeBron and Jordan in playoff VORP is 8.51, which is only 0.08 smaller than the gap between Jordan and Kobe. Kobe’s VORP is over half of LeBron’s.

Jordan stans better hope LeBron doesn’t get to 6 rings.

Executive of the Year? ;)

In all honesty there isn't any natural fit, and yes I quite agree that if they name the regular season MVP it should be after Kareem.

i could see there being a lifetime achievement award/longevity award or something. i think that's pretty natural given how many career records lebron has/will add.

I was trying to remember if the nba had one for off the court stuff. I think it does and was awarded a few weeks ago but can't remember for certain. If not I think that's what he will get.

He'd have to take MLE but how would he have a fit? Who does he defend? SG/SF?

At this point, I don't think we can really look at the regular season to tell us much of anything about Lebron. It's very clear that he coasts heavily during the regular season. Playoff Lebron is his actual level.

Just wait for that ultimate career triple-double milestone of over 35k points, 10k rebounds, 10k assists. Simply put, the best all-around player ever.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation
