I still think 2013 LeBron is his peak, from an all-around standpoint, although his peak offensive stretch was likely 2016-2018.

Holy ****, what a blast from the past. I can't actually think of a time when Haberstroh and Arnovitz were new and not well established guys

I remember Haberstroh from even before that. 08-10 before Heat Index he wrote articlesfor Hoopdata.com. It was the only place online where you could get PbP-based shooting breakdowns(at rim, 3-10 ft, 10-16, etc.). Used to update every other day and I'd go and check on updated shooting stats.

Years later BBR & NBA.com eventually added all of this of course, but back then it was hoopdata exclusive.

They also tracked 3pt assists and broke down all data into monthly splits (including +/- and the shooting splits).
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

We have to win tonight and step on their throats

Last game's beating doesn't matter if they win a close one tonight, a win is a win

We should take care of business, I think Lebron is ready and has never taken anything for granted after 2011

Yup, he's never blown a 2-0 lead. The Lakers are going for the kill shot tonight. Can't take a game like this for granted whatsoever. I'd like to see LeBron come out aggressive but I feel like Game 3 LeBron is more of a thing

In this interview, he says he was up until 4:30 AM watching film. We all know Playoff LeBron is a whole other beast, but man I have never seen him so locked in/focused. He even yelled at the bench mob to tone down their antics last game. He's going to fight until that final buzzer sounds on the series.

4:30? I don't like this. He needs his 10 hours

I get the feeling that LeBron is on the verge of putting up an absolutely legendary game very soon, and I feel like it might just be tonight. 45/12/6 on 17-27 shooting or something silly like that.

Bam is out which sucks. Lakers were most likely gonna win anyway. Now we gotta hear how they beat an injured team.

I thought this was crazy too but I guess by the time they get back to the hotel it’s pretty late and there’s still be a lot of adrenaline. Hope he sleeps well the next day.

I know everyone likes to dump on Simmons as far as ESPN personalities go. But Stugotz is so much worse. I remember back when I'd listen to ESPN radio 2015-2017, him coming on would be an instant channel swap or mute. Dude is basically of that annoying middle aged man at the end of the bar who yells constantly at the TV to try to get attention. Awful.

You folks know Stugotz is doing a parody of a sports radio guy, right?

If so that explains a lot.

It does not explain why he's on ESPN radio or why he's doing that at all. Do people find it entertaining?

Yes. The lebatard show podcast is the only sports radio I listen to. I love it. They’ve ruined conventional/serious sports radio for me the way they mock it, I can’t listen to it the same way again. I have a long commute through heavy traffic both to and from work, never miss an hour in the car

I think we get a 30 point triple double or a 40 point game from Lebron tonight. No Bam, he can taste #4, his path to the title has never been easier, and I think he is gunning for a FMVP. He will be able to easily slice into the Miami D tonight.

Yea no Bam inside LeBron is gonna force the issue lol. If Spo whips out the micro-ball lineup with Chief Keef at the 5 for extended stretches he could go for 40

I really like what LeBron said about AD re: jealousy etc.

But for the sake of discussion - do you think he'd be cool with AD getting FMVP? And do you think AD cares?

Do you care, as a LeBron fan?

This game has "trap" written all over it. Really hope that the Lakers take it 100% seriously.

One part of me doesn't care and just wants the chip...and hey AD is a great player and seemingly great guy.

On the other hand, once the trolls and haters start yapping about how Lebron didn't win fmvp I'm going to be hella annoyed.

One random thought I had in all of this...how would Jordan have played with AD in the finals? Would he have frozen AD out in stretches to keep his stats down?

I’m sure lebron wants finals mvp for his legacy deep down but no he wouldn’t care at all if AD wins.

AD almost certainly doesn’t give a **** and just wants a title.

I’m like lebron, I’d prefer he got it but don’t really care. Just want him to win.

IDC man, call me selfish I still will be disappointed if AD wins FMVP. I want him to take over and be the leader of the team for the rest of the 2020s but I do want LeBron to get just this last one. I honestly think I'll cheer more for the FMVP than the ring itself. Thank God LeBron's not me and he 'gets it' tho, cuz I guess that makes me one toxic MFer lol

Actually that's cap, I'll go nuts when the final minutes count down and I'm sure in the moment I'll be ok with AD getting it, but I'll still have tinges of regret in the months to come that LeBron couldn't secure that unique designation of 3 FMVPs on 3 teams.

Do you guys think it does anything for LeBron's historical standing if he sweeps this Finals and gets to claim that over MJ who at best went to 5? It's not like MJ didn't have his chance. Worthy went down before the 91 Finals lol

If Lebron doesn’t win FMVP I wouldn’t be shocked for the anti-Lebron crowd to start a narrative pretty quickly of Lebron being carried to the title.
