Miami is playing like a 2011 Mavs team of destiny type.

I’d say Miami has a complete advantage with role players, everyone from 3rd man down.

And a massive, massive advantage in coaching. I can see it like being the Raps-Celts series where Spo just mucks up the game which his weird schemes and plays and takes the Lakers to at least 6 or 7.

Imagine getting flummoxed by a 2-3 zone you already saw

Heat are scary but I don't think they have the 2011 Dirk-type to close out against LA's star power. I like Butler and believe in his impact but to me, he's still a streaky scorer. His foul-baiting is legit though.

If we make it and the heat make it, our shooters better hit open shots

But I think Lebron will emphasize to not take contested 3s in the zone. Lebron and AD should be able to kill a zone. Lebron to the middle cutter to a lob/dumpoff to a big or a good layup/dunk

Or AC or Rondo to the cutting Bron to AD or Bron attacks from the paint

There is no one even remotely close to 2011 Dirk on Miami. Also 2020 LA is far superior to 2011 Miami. Also another factor: if the Lakers make the NBA finals they will get an advantage from the refs against Miami if the series is close, which I don't think it will be.

Yeah it isn’t close, Spo is going to exploit any weakness the Lakers have and they have a lot. He has the players to do it. Bron and AD are going to have to play like superstars every game.

Vogel is a good coach, and the Lakers essentially have a player coach in LeBron on the floor, but I can’t overlook that role player advantage, that squad looks like two tiers ahead of the Lakers’ squad. Like this team is 10-1 for a reason, none of it looks like a fluke.

Heat are playing well in the half-court but they haven't come up against another great half-court team in the playoffs. Their zone won't make much of a difference against the Lakers offense.

To me small but physical guys are what throws Davis off.

I think the only big man that I have seen give Davis trouble is Embiid.

Lakers role players are pretty defensive-minded, not afraid to take on the perimeter. They may not be as offensively gifted but I think lakers are a bad match-up for Miami.

Plus the temperature advantage they've had on all other teams in the East being that it's warm/humid for every game would be lost against an LA team.

Heat are really good, but the Lakers have a good D too + Lebron and AD.

Vogel has shown through his adjustments and gameplans this year that hes prolly a top 10 coach. Hes not on Spos level but its not like hes Brett Brown. Hes really good

Yeaa I'm really not even a tiny bit worried about the zone when we have Bron up top hitting AD at the nail. I wish MFs would try that so we have an excuse to play Dwight and watch AD lob it up to him 5x in a row

I know everyone's hyping up Miami's role players but they only 2 way guys that they have are Dragic, Butler, Bam, and Crowder. Herro Robinson and Olynyk are varying degrees of barbecue chicken on defense and Hackodala is an Alex Caruso level master Freemason bricklayer to the highest degree. And this time he won't be fed a steady diet of wide open corner shots all game the way he consistently got them from Steph and Dray pnr so he won't get in rhythm at all lol

Heat are 10-1 now, looking real good.
