The Suns say no. James Jones spits up his coffee and pops a button on his pants (laughing).

I don't know about that. Ayton is an RFA that looks about as good as any other C on their roster. Their system is helping him for sure.

If Suns don't win a championship this season then I think they consider it.

Ayton is one of the best (young) two way bigs in the league. Bridges is one of the best (young) two way wings in the league.

The Suns would be a laughingstock to trade both of those players for a decayed superstar in the twilight of his career.

The value of LeBron (for any contender) is the potential of being able to sign him to a roster (for cheap) to put that team over the top. Any contender that guts their core for the corpse of LeBron James would be beyond foolish imo.

The teams that will trade value for LeBron will be nowhere teams (the NBA podunks of the world) looking for added revenue and a gate attraction. Not contenders.

Suns with this Lebron instead of Ayton and Bridges make the Suns' way clear path to the championship, but If Lebron would be as good as 2022 version of him after this year.

For this season he might.

Their defense would take a hit though. If he does not put them over the top this season (however), it’s all downhill moving forward (from a trade value perspective).

This LeBron would change their team dynamic (and it may not be for the better). Some of those young role players may not perform the same once LeBron media (circus) atmosphere and pressure comes to town.

———-

Ayton is a big part of that team.

He is the guy that really killed the Lakers last postseason. There were zero answers for that guy (even when AD played). People are deluding themselves if they think he is some interchangeable part with McGee and Biyombo.

The Suns do not seem to value Ayton as much as they should and I suspect they will be paying for that soon enough.

Something is definitely off, he can't even dribble without turning it over

This is pretty much the rotation I've been wanting to see.
I want to see THT subbed in for Johnson in the starters for smaller ball at some point too.

I agree with rotations for players they have. Augustin and Wenyen should be able to walk in to this lineup. Not pretty but not bad.

No one says no to Lebron. Leaving aside the fact that his on-court value is still absurdly high, no owner would allow GM to cost them that much $$$ by acquiring Lebron

That’s nice. I think you are wrong.

Most contenders will say no if it means gutting their team. As an expiring contract, teams could elect to take a wait and see approach. See how he plays, then sign him to a mid level exception the following season (wink, wink, we will draft your son when the time comes).

What is up with LeBron?

Was he drugged during all star break? His movements look strange to me. Two steps up the court and he looks like he is struggling to breath.

What happened?

Westbrook had a couple of decent games going into the AS break. He has been completely unplayable since.

Luka gets to go 1 on 1 against a 37 year old LeBron while Bron gets triple teamed every time he has the ball. Shows how non-dangerous this Laker roster is.

This team simply cannot win as so many things can go wrong for it and they can give up a 10 point swing like that. This game was 100-94, and then the lakers proceeded to score 2 points in 5 minutes.

What’s even ,ore perplexing is now such a terrible team with a terrible rotation can have these wild dominant runs in the third quarter, which of course they go an blow easily.

When short athletic guards lose it, they lose it.

I really dislike narrative his critics are putting forth that he could never contribute to a title team.

It is false. The teens Thunder are similar to the aughts Suns or 90s Jazz, they played at a championship level for many years. If they had gotten a few breaks they would have won a title. Beating a 67 Win Spurs Team and taking a 73 Warriors team to 7 games is an enormous accomplishment. Many championship clubs go years without facing 1 team of that quality.

And Russ was an enormous part of that. He was an ATG and this is a painful to watch for that reason.

Lakers were up 100-94 at one point. Outscored 15-4 the rest of the way. Ouch.

I don't understand why WB played the 4th.

A lot of the run in the 3rd Quarter was Dallas going ice cold. The Mavs were still getting open looks left and right
