It seems that Bruh Man and ThunderDan9 will meet in the finals, and that's a pretty big surprise to me, not only because I voted for their rivals in both matchups, but I've felt for a long time that Notanoob and O_6 had probably the two best teams in this tournament. Your thoughts, guys?

Coming into the tournament I thought O_6 had the strongest team, but I now really like ThunderDan's team after these rounds. He built a very strong team that I think was (at least by me) overlooked at the end of the draft.

Which of our judges that haven't voted are you referring to?

Maybe someone should PM SideshowBob, bastillon, TMACFORMVP and john248 and ask them to vote? It seems we can't move forward to the finals until they don't vote.

How do you guys propose we finish this up? We can open it up for a board-wide poll, but that would be unfair to the two guys leading right now. Or we can roll with the votes as they are and advance the two leading right now, but that would be unfair to other two, who still have a chance to come back. Or we can just wait for the remaining judges to vote, however long that takes.

Seems like the thread already died... Maybe we should have proceed to the finals, even if it might be unfair to O_6 and Notanoob, before Thunder Dan and Bruh Man lose interest, too? I don't know, I'm just posting here to keep the thread alive...

I think the 3 judges who didn't vote have fallen away. RL happens, it has happened before with at least 1 of these judges in other similar competitions. I think we have to move on if we want this competition to continue.

It's too bad that they aren't here to finish this. As much as I'd like to hold out for them to hand me the series, chances are that doing so would just kill this for good. Moving on now gives us a chance to crown a winner.

Selfishly I'd rather wait, but I wouldn't be mad if you guys moved on. Whoever is still around can throw in their vote to see if we should stop waiting.

I think we have to call it. By my count both matchups have one player with an edge over the other. That guy wins. The very reason why we're reluctant to move on now, is the very reason to fear that the Finals will be in that much worse shape for judges the longer we wait.

And I'll add, I believe both the leaders have 5 votes. That's plenty in my mind. Sure you'd like more, but in general I think if you've got enough for a "Best of 7" - as in 7 judges - that's enough to be taken relatively seriously.

I'm disappointed in the judges, I wanted to see all 3 of those guys' votes since I respect them all as posters. I wanted to win this thing so of course I wanted to see what the final vote would be. Both matchups were just so tight.

But I'm cool with advancing to the Finals if that's what people think is best. No need to draw this out any longer. It was definitely a fun project to take part in.

I think every team in the Final Four has an argument to be considered the best. Good luck to ThunderDan9 (my favorite offense) and Bruh Man (my favorite defense).

Alright, we'll move on to the finals. I'm at work right now, so I'll make the match up thread tonight.

Disappointing that the other judges didn't vote but it's better to finish this thing.

I think a key player for my team was Rasheed Wallace. He just felt like a great PF to fit in between Durant and Ewing.

He got bashed for his outside shooting tendencies but he is the rare 3nD Power Forward. The only other one that I think got drafted was Cliff Robinson. I don't think the difference between Rasheed and Cliff is massive, but I do think there is a gap and Rasheed has proven himself against some all-time great bigs. He gave Duncan, Garnett, and Howard major problems. He was capable of guarding Shaq and Dirk better than most.

One of the biggest things I took out of this project was that Rasheed Wallace was an amazing complementary player. He opens up the paint for his team and helps shut it down for the opponent. So valuable.

I wanted to draft both Wallace and Ewing. Your pick was right before mine, so you snapped both up at the last moment for me. Damn you, O_6! Lol
